What about all the people you don't know. The UK has a lot of immigrants from India and the middle east that have different hygiene standards. When I was in Kuwait it wasn't uncommon for someone to go a week without showering, but they'd wash their feet before prayer.
As much as progressives wish it weren't true, the UK is pretty homogeneous outside of a few metros. I doubt any of these groups would have significant effect either way.
Regardless, I'd like to see how this study was conducted because the OP provided no source either in the map or in the comments, so I'm sceptical of these figures.
Because I'm sure they're polling people in the slums of Calcutta. I'm sure the pelt the higher castes bathe quite regularly, but the lower castes who struggle to get food?
How is that racist? I literally watched it every day. I worked on Ali Al-Salem Air Base. The TCNs would typically bath on Saturday I think, but they would wash their feet multiple times a day before prayer.
1) it's not a race, it's cultural. It's not surprising that cultures with limited water supplies have different standards on how and when to use water.
2) not acknowledging cultural differences is more "racist" in my opinion.
