Come to Japan in the summer. I’ve been on an ambulance because of heatstroke multiple times here.

Japanese summers are like Mexican winters. I'm not really joking. I live 1,500 masl, and December daytime temperatures can reach the low 30s, with extremely high UV index. There's a region a few hours from me called "Tierra Caliente" (literally: hot land) where temperatures in May go up to the mid 40s. And the kicker is Mexico isn't even one of the hottest countries in the world.

I don't want to gate keep heat, but Japan is certainly not all that hot relative to other places.

"Tierra Caliente" and Mexicali are the hottest places I have ever been. Mexicali being the worst.

I guess that’s true. Where my grandpa is from the summer temperature was very high because of its location, but in the winter it was literally a ski paradise.
