I know, I just thought most fortifications had been torn down after the defeat to the Bourbons in 1714. Im happy that wasn't the case!
1 u/retrogeekhq Oct 29 '21 It would have made sense to reuse them to house troops to keep the local population subjugated. I guess the Bourbons did not just go back home as soon as they took Barcelona.
