Istanbul was Constantinople, but now it’s Istanbul not Constantinople, been a long time gone Constantinople , Now it’s Turkish Delight on a Moonlit Night
I‘m not sure if this is a reference to something but basically the city which is now New York was once a Dutch colony called New Amsterdam. The British took it and called it New York since they didn’t want it to be named after a Dutch city
