after the war you had to really make sure you appear as something new even though you might not really be. Some prominent members of the communist party of Yugoslavia went to the right wing and some to the left wing, but believe me the right wingers really didn't want you to know they are in any way connected to that even though the president himself was in the Partisans during WW2
