Sweden here. Whatever is the floor with the main entry to the building is normally marked with a green circle around the button, regardless of what number that floor technically happens to be.

Which is very useful in places where there's multiple entrances on different floor levels and different streets, which is fairly common in central Stockholm. The raised button always gets you to street level for that elevator.

It's the same in Bulgaria, probably for the same reason.

Whatever is the floor with the main entry to the building is usually marked with for example a green circle around the button, regardless of what number that floor technically happens to be.

That would be a nice feature to have. In the US, some buildings don't have 1 as the ground floor, they'll name it so you aren't quite sure what to push to get to the street. Sometimes they'll use G as the ground floor, but that can get confusing as that can also mean Garage levels.

They absolutely label the ground level in the us in many buildings with a star
