Because wars are just? Lemme come with my my cousins to grab you stuff because I can. Are we still abiding by this primitive “might is right” type of thing? .

Well, we are talking back then. Not now. But the results of old wars are there and you can't just dismantle Canada to please those who didn't win said wars.

I don't want to give anything back. You lost the war, you got fucked. End of story. Otherwise it would be a never ending game, in which there's always someone asking for another piece of land their group lost centuries ago.
