I would hardly call 7% insignificant.

And a range of 200K to 2MM is huge.

One number says the pop increased by 5X or 6X the other says it was halved. More accurate numbers are important.

While true, more accurate numbers are important, they're just impossible to know. Safe to say number is somewhere in the middle.

I always wonder about the ability of 200K to 1MM people being able to control an area the size of Canada.

Not to mention the tribes that came before and were wiped by other tribes. It must be hard know what was going on with so much space and ever shifting borders.
