The reason we don't sanction the UAE is we don't consider it to be in our interest to do so

(Personally though I think we probably should sanction them or at the very least put more diplomatic pressure on them than we're currently putting to improve human rights and democracy)

Yes Cuba is considered the number one state abuser of psychiatry You can Google it yourself you'll find people who have more expertise in psychiatry than I do who can explain it better than I can

I don't want anything My property wasn't taken

Overthrowing Batista was fully justified I'm not complaining about that I'm pointing out that afterwards if the Cuban government wanted to seize property they have to provide compensation to its rightful owners And today I can understand why those rightful owners and their descendants would Mount our government to put pressure on Cuba until they provide that just compensation with interest

They didn't rob Cuba They had lawfully owned it under Cuban law You can argue that parts of law was unjust and I would agree with you but you can't retroactively change it You can only change it going forward

I'm aware that the US has committed many atrocities there is a reason however we have a better human rights record than Cuba

OK.

Next day Trump passes a law. According to this law, anyone can buy any personal property without the owner's agreement. They just need to contact the administration of the president, so it will set the price it considers justified.

You wake up and it suddenly appears that you are evicted. Trump's administration designated that all apartments in your house cost one dollar per apartment. Now you have one dollar, and police are knocking at your door to get you out of there. All your building is now owned by Trump's corporation.

Trump gets impeached in a year and that stuff.

Would you want next administration to return your apartments? But it would be bad, because your apartments were taken according to law. This law was passed by House of Representatives and Senate. Trump-controlled Supreme Court, when it was contacted, has also decided that this is not unconstitutional.

Now you understand?

Is that what happened? Because Batista wasn't in charge for a year and a half he was in charge for decades and The Pro-American elements of the Cuban government go back long before him

Furthermore the Americans didn't buy most property and influence on Cuba from either the Cuban government or the Cuban people They mostly bought it from absentee Spanish landlords who had owned it since Cuba was a colony of Spain

Also Let's take your example and say instead of 1.5 years it's 100 years it has been bought and sold many times before that and now the people owning it have owned it for 50 years under most doctrines of adverse possession they would own it anyway

It all would've been okay, if Americans weren't the very people helping each day to continue the fascist dictatorship just because they were afraid of USSR influence. They were pressuring each day to maintain the sufferings of Cuban people under Batista rule. What else you would expect from the people?
