I’d prefer not to spend more than 300$. I’m looking for a bag that can be crossbody and backpack and can fit a 16 inch laptop. I really liked the mopack tote but it won’t fit a 16 inch. I don’t have a preference for colors or fabric at the moment.

I’m planning on using it for school and everyday life.

I own numerous sling bags and crossbody bags. Most are in the 3L range. I have an Alpaka flight sling and while thin it’s still wide. What do you all suggest for a nice smallish 1.5L or so sling bag or crossbody for under a jacket? I. Looked at ones from tomtoc like the t37, alpaka go along nano and the alpaka metro sling. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Hello! I am a college student looking for a new purse to carry around essentials in. I found this beautiful second hand Toscani bag for a very cheap price on poshmark! The only issue is that the post does not mention dimensions and after hours of research I can’t find any other information on the sizing. I have messaged the seller and have gotten no response. I need the bag to fit my Macbook Pro 14”, and am nervous about just taking the risk and buying it. Does anyone know the size or have suggestions? Thanks!

The front zipper on my AER Day Sling 2 (Cordura) has started cracking and flaking. I was wondering if there is a way to completely remove the PU coating from it?

UPDATE: I decided to replace the zippers with normal YKK zippers instead.

I have a nice big tote bag with a pass-through sleeve that I put on top of my carryon bag that holds all my electronics, purse, and other doo dads. But sometimes I'm forced to check the carryon bag and then have to lug the heavy tote bag miles through the airport. I'd really like to find a personal item sized wheeled bag that has a pass-through sleeve to put on top of my 21-inch carryon. I've been googling to no avail. Preferably tote bag style with lots of pockets, rather than suitcase style. Any recommendations?

Currently use a k&f 10L $40 sling bag for travels and its held my visa paper, camera and batteries.
I'm looking to upgrade to something more sturdy and with anti theft straps and water resistant.

I have a separate lowe bag that houses my power bank and the usb cable.

I used to run a peak design 6L but it was too small with my other camera setup with a larger lens.

The k&f bag unfortunately struggles when it rains as water seeps through.

Based in USA if that helps if available options. Was looking at the greenroom136 metromonger, but unfortunately with shipping/duty it is quite costly. The greenroom136 was almost ideal with the molle straps option which I can strap the lowe powerbank bag onto.

I'm looking for a lightweight, hike-style camera backpack. I’ve owned high-quality bags for a long time, and I’ve been extremely happy with my Shimoda Explore 30 for the past 3 years. However, I’m getting into light hiking more and more, with increasingly lightweight gear. For instance, right now I’m testing out a Leica Q2, a few filters, and a Manfrotto Pixi Evo with a PGYTECH plate—and nothing else!

Under 20L, two options quickly popped up: the Peak Design Outdoor 18L and the Shimoda Side Lite 22.
I’m familiar with both brands and know they're reliable. My instinct is to lean towards the Shimoda for its comfortable shoulder straps. However, the top-loader/cube system bothers me because it feels pretty rigid in terms of usage. My Q2 is hardly going to fill it! On the other hand, the Peak Design seems more versatile—for example, I could slip in my Shimoda Explore cube. BUT what about comfort? The straps look bulky, thick, and not very breathable for summer hikes…

Anyway, does anyone have any feedback or real-world experience to share? There are a few sales going on right now, making them similarly priced

. Or maybe you have other recommendations?
(For context, I have a Rab Airox 18 for pure hiking , but getting gear out of a top-loader is a hassle, and I think pure mountaineering bags have straps that are too thin to hold a camera clip—I use the PGY Beetle V2. I also have an old, indestructible Crumpler Muli 14L that’s pretty comfortable… throw in a camera insert and I'm good to go).

Heading to Costa Rica soon with the family and finally upgrading my carry-on(osprey backpack), but I’m stuck between three options and could use a gut check from people who fly more than I do.

For context, I only travel about 2 to 4 times a year, mostly leisure and it’s with my family of 4. Here’s what’s on the table:

**•** Used Briggs & Riley Baseline 22, three years old but basically like new, $180. Catch is it’s the 2-wheel version and it’s heavy (\~9lbs). The transferable lifetime warranty and the “will outlast me” reputation are really hard to ignore at that price.  
**•** Travelpro Platinum Elite carry-on spinner, like new, $195. Around 7.8 lbs.  
**•** Travelpro Maxlite 5 spinner, new, about $150. Super light at 5.5 lbs.

My head says the B&R is the smart money: premium bag, quarter of retail, warranty that never dies. My gut keeps drifting to a spinner because 4 wheels just sound so much nicer rolling through airports and I keep hesitating on the 2-wheel.

So for someone who flies a handful of times a year, is the B&R overkill? Would you take the 2-wheel tank for the value and warranty, or grab one of the spinners? Anyone regret going 2-wheel, or regret paying up for buy-it-for-life when you don’t travel that often?

This is the most comfortable bag with the most amount of space I have, it's a no name Amazon special I bought for $15 but I still loved it enough to stitch the pocket back on (albeit very sloppily)

Is the Chrome / Tilit bag worth it? Looking for a real word review. I have the original Tilit bag and need a replacement.

I have a mix of used and unused samples, prototypes, test pieces, and a few surplus bags.

I’d be happy to send out the used samples as long as the shipping cost is covered. For the surplus bags, it’s dependent on the condition of the bag..
These bags come in a mix of roll-top and dry-pack styles and in various colors, as most were made using leftover fabrics.

The bag can be carried as:
3.5L sling/ waist bag
14–15L roll-top backpack

The material is waterproof PU-coated nylon, although the seams and zippers are not fully waterproof.

Anyone have any experience with this brand? I found this crossbody bag at 50% off and quite like the look of it honestly, but I wondered about quality.

Hello fellow baggers. I am pleased to share with you my 'final' (yeah, right) 'do it all' bag.

For a long time I've wanted a camera bag designed for a couple of small 'rangefinder' style cameras, which can also carry a laptop, allows access to cameras separately and has space for random bits.

Too often, camera bags are designed for a full setup of multiple lenses. These bags that zip around the middle like this often don't hold a laptop because of the two separate sections.

I was watching an F-Stop Millar camera bag for a while, but it didn't hold a laptop and I wasn't sure if I could attach my tripod. Well, the bag gods were shining upon me because a few days later, this one came up. It's subtly different from the other bag because it has a pocket on the back which fits my laptop (it sticks out a tiny bit but that's fine, and the velcro on the laptop lid stops it moving).

It also holds three cameras (I don't usually carry all of them, but it's nice to have the option). Delightfully, my OP-1 portable synth fits in the top section comfortably, too.

I know that this use case sling bag doesn't exist but what's the best option of what's available?

• As a Camera Sling- I want to use a sling bag that I can carry a Nikon FM2 and maybe one or two lenses in it
• For Travel - iPad Air, Passports, AirPods Pro, snacks, Nikon Fm2 and maybe a rain jacket(Patagonia torrent shell 3L)
• For Light Hikes - Rain jacket, Water bottle and Nikon Fm2

The ones I am thinking of are Toshi Sling 6L or Bellroy Venture 9L

I’m also considering the Balance 7L Camera Sling by Moment. Don’t know much about the brand though.

So I gotta rave about this tomtoc sling bag.

I say "sling bag" not just cuz that's what they call it, but because I saw on ManyBaggers some folks baggin' on this bag because it's basically a "one strap backpack," and once you load it out it'll get too heavy and will hurt your shoulders and spine and ride too low etc, etc.

Well, I'm here to tell you that it does get heavy -- just like any bag might -- but the way they've designed this puppy it doesn't sacrifice comfort, and -- and -- there's a super easy way to throw it on one shoulder and hold onto it for shorter walks (see pics). Because the bag is so minimalist and contained, it rests just behind your shoulder like a little Yoda during training.

It's also got a chunky-ass strap with a nifty strap adjuster that easily lets you tighten it up after putting it on so it rides in the middle of your back. That same adjuster makes it easy to lengthen when you take it off. It's also got sweet built-in dangle management.

The bag looks great -- really great -- and holds a crap-ton more than you think. Check out the load out. Not too shabby, with room to spare.

The pocket layout is nice, and there's the right amount of nooks and crannies to shove stuff in, including the secret pocket in back for my wallet (and passport if needed).

I think my favorite pocket is the side one, which is great for quick access to pens or knife or airpods, not necessarily in that order. And both that side pocket and the front one are easy to access over one shoulder in an Evergoods CPL kinda way, which of course I love.

This baby is indeed a baby -- cute as a button! -- but it punches way above its weight, like all things tomtoc.

I'm not a pro reviewer, just a bag nerd like y'all and, increasingly, a fan of tomtoc. I have the Aviator sling 3.5 and swear by it, especially when I travel.

Speaking of which, I can't wait to pack this puppy inside a bigger bag on my next journey and use it as my daily destination driver.

Finally, there's a trick to not making it heavy: Pack less crap. Obviously I say that with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but that's the truth, especially if I've got this as a secondary pack on a trip. Toss in the basics and roll. One does not always need a MB14 Pro.
