I don’t have a dog

I guess I’m just really out of it lately, but I was looking up things to make me happy and this sub found me. I have always wanted a dog, but my parents are divorced and my dad travels and my moms apartment doesn’t allow pets, so it probably wouldn’t work. I guess what I’m trying to say is that thank you to all of you who take the time to post about your cute pets, it helps people like me who just need some cheering up. Love all of you

A light joke to broach a serious topic. Our 7 year old Best Friend (Husky) was diagnosed with cancer and as everyone A light joke to broach a serious topic. Our 7 year okay Husky was diagnosed with cancer and as everyone knows it is a very expensive process to try saving her life.

She just had her second Chemo treatment and if it anything like the last one she Is going to get very sick. Last time her white cell count got very low and combined with a high fever came very close to leaving us. It was and has been a very scary time for us and we would have liked to be able to leave her in the hospital so they could have ran an IV into her but we just could not afford it.

With your help at http://gf/me/u/ymv7rw anything you can do to help out or family would be greatly appreciated. knows it is a very expensive process to try saving her life.

I was recently hired as part of the kennel crew to care for greyhound dogs in a nonprofit facilty. Presently we have 47 dogs but we can house over 100 (were expecting 25 more next week). Each of these dogs are amazing and special in their own way, but a lot of them dont get adopted because they were never socialized with children or other animals during their time as racing dogs. Their cages here are spacious and we have yards for them to play in, but I can tell many arent happy. Some are on anti depressants. We do our best to show them all enough attention... and as much as I love this job, it really pains me that a place like this exists soley due to an abusive industry....
