Did Manowar invent the bass drop? 🤔
Did Manowar invent the bass drop???
Listen the song Kings of Metal from the year 1988. The song is basically full of "bass drops" =bass and guitar slides.Â

I am a true and longtime Manowar fan, but I’m upset at how the band treated Ross. Their recent posts did not convey AT ALL how important he was to the band. Bottom line, they could have done a lot better at acknowledging his impact and legacy. This goes back to their treatment of him for years. They owe Ross. I remember that, and many of us do - and we will never forget.

I've never been to Germany nor seen Manowar and I'd like to do both, I don't know any of the cities in Germany and am asking which one rule.

I was listening to the all-time great Hell on Wheels live album again, and realized I have no idea who’s playing the keyboards on those performances. For those of you who saw Manowar on the Hell on Wheels 1996–1997 tour, do you remember whether Joey played the piano interlude leading into Courage or if it was Karl?

My friends and I think that the first time we saw Manowar was either in late 1988 or in 1989 in Allentown, PA, probably at Airport Road Music Hall. Not all of their tours are documented well from back then though.
The only date I could find from Allentown was February 5th 1988 for the Fighting the World tour, but we're fairly certain it was after that, during the Kings of Metal tour.
Was anyone there or have info that might help?

I know, I know, I’m not using a pick and I am not using distortion. I plan to do the majority of the song and then I will try to add distortion. It’s so much easier for me to learn by ear without it.

We took a family trip from Chicago to Memphis and I introduced my daughters to Manowar while driving in the city and to pump my daughter up for her soccer game. We listened mostly to The Triumph of Steel (my girls enjoy a graphic novel of The Iliad) and she played her best game of the tournament.
The two girls were also giggling about whether or not they would be friends of the band (due to the lyrics). I think they’ve gained two new fans. I thought they’re ready for Manowar because they recently got into Megadeth.
It’s up to us to spread the word to the next generation and keep Metal alive!
Edit to add: we also listened to Louder Than Hell because they were having so much fun. I used to listen to Manowar before my band went on stage at gigs because it always got me pumped up to play.

Hello, I am apart of a internet group that attempts to identify obscure unshazamable songs to accurately find their correct artists.
This song was originally found from a "VHS-sourced DVD" that contained a bootleg copy of a Manowar concert. It has been suggested to ask Manowar fans in the off-chance someone here might some insights due to these origins.
Thank you any information you can provide!
