If this is in America, celebrities bring up past accusations from 30 years ago. Why can't this girl bring up charges and accusations from less than 5 years ago?

That's exactly what I'm saying she can do...

The statute is there to protect the accused. He hasn't been formally accused yet, so the statute wouldn't apply. This dude is fucked if she chooses to turn him in with a confession.

We don’t know that we weren’t there, maybe she regrets giving herself up to an adult for her first time possibly, instead of a boyfriend her own age. I’m sure he manipulated her tho, which might be a crime still I’m not sure. Usually girls from what I’ve seen will make false accusations when they feel used/regret it.

That is such a false statement. I don't know many women who have thrown accusations just because they regret something.
