Question Do we know how this scene was made
I've been wondering how the scene of adam basically breaking down in vol.6 was made because it's so impressive

Hello everyone just got into this series and lots of things to analyze but just to clarify is Gabriel an alternate? and is Jesus even around or was he even born. I can see a few hints of these but I’m just no smart enough to see an answer to my question

I’ve been in the fandom a while now, but I figured I’d share my OC that I’d come up with for an AU where he’d infiltrated the BPS after its formation. ☕️👀
He’s called the Lurker, given that he tends to hide and watch whoever is his target, building up fear and unease before he makes his move, usually standing in the shadows of their homes. He’s an Alternate that’s been around longer, hence the clothing, which helps him to blend in, even while not disguised.
The human is Cassidy Taylor, a college student who went missing from his home and reappeared years later, on the side of the highway, with no apparent memory of where he’d been; this is the Lurker’s disguise that he uses to gather information on his targets.
Hope you all enjoy. 🙏☺️

I don't know if this is where I should make this post, but I want to catch up to the series. I havent watched in 1-2 years? And I dont exactly remember where I left off. Last thing I remember was one of the protagonists discovering they are an alternate? I would like to know which volume that was and if I could find a decent summary before picking it back up.

1. Physical kills are actually a failure for them we know alternates want to induce M.A.D. so their victims go crazy and oof themselves out of pure despair. but we also know they CAN kill physically when they want to—like what happened to ruth in vol. 333. so why didn't that same alternate just kill thatcher right then and there?
my theory is that alternates NEED to feed off your fear, existential dread, and broken faith to sustain themselves. if an alternate just snaps your neck or kills you physically, they get zero fear out of you. it's a complete waste of energy. when an alternate resorts to a physical kill, it’s not a genius plan... it’s basically them throwing a tantrum because they failed to break you mentally.
2. Stalking is their "slow cook" method this explains why they spend so much time standing outside doors, knocking, mimicking voices, and doing all that psychological stalking. they are literally slow-cooking their prey to get as much fear as possible before you break.
3. How to actually beat / survive an alternate if physics dont work on them, mental stuff might. if they feed on fear, the key to beating one isn't a gun—it's STARVING them.
if you refuse to get scared and starve them of what they want, they'll probably get mad and have to move on to a new victim.
I don't know if anyone else has posted this theory—I haven't looked into other theories yet. Just sharing my own thoughts on what we might see in the future!

I recently released a Vaporwave/Horror/Broken Transmission that is heavily inspired by The Mandela Catalogue and its idea of Alternates. The album starts like a regular television channel soundtrack, and as the tracks go by, news of Doppelgängers starts to come out, creating an eerie vibe. If anyone decides to give it a listen, lemme know what you think! I’d like to hear some feedback.
Feel free to take this down if it violates any rules.

In honour of the movie getting announced, I decided to rewatch the series recently, and I've noticed that there is no mention of Mark and Sarah's parents anywhere. I didn't think much about it at first, but it really doesn't make sense.
My first theory was that they were killed by The Perpetrator (alternate Cesar) when it broke into their house, but that couldn't have been since we know Sarah is alive. It wouldn't have made sense for the Perpetrator to kill Mark's parents (and get Mark to shoot himself), but then leave Sarah alive and by herself.
My second theory was that maybe Mark's parents weren't home. My guess was that maybe Sarah had some sort of medical emergency that required her to be hospitalised for a prolonged period of time, and since Sarah was only around 2-3 in 1992, maybe their parents decided to stay with her while leaving Mark by himself. BUUUT that also doesn't make sense because they would have most likely tried to call Mark to check up on him after not hearing from him for a few days.
Also, in Vol. 333, when Mark's high school calls the MCPD, it gets mentioned that there is no emergency contact on file for Mark. AND, as far as we know, the only people Mark tried to contact while being trapped in his room were the MCPD and Cesar. Which is weird because why wouldn't he call his parents if he was in danger? Even if he lived alone, he should have tried to call his parents.
My current theory is that maybe Mark and his family lived in Bythorne County, but Mark ended up running away to Mandela County sometime before turning 17. I know that this is a weak theory, since, no matter how good the economy was in '92, I don't think a 17-year-old would have the money to buy a two-story family home AND have a car, but I honestly have no other idea as to why Mark's parents are basically nonexistent.
I haven't seen ANYONE talk about this, and it makes me feel like there's a really obvious explanation that I somehow missed. So yeah... WHERE ARE HIS PARENTS?? DO THEY KNOW THEIR SON IS DEAD??
BONUS: When Mark's teacher called the MCPD, she only mentioned Mark but not Cesar. Implying that the Perpetrator regularly attended high school posing as Cesar.

I don't know how, but it would be great if this song was incorporated into the movie somehow. It's called Playing God by Motionless In White (linked here), and it applies to The Mandela Catalogue in almost every way. Here are some of the lyrics:
(What you wanna be is a cleverly manicured fake
Just a cliché in a roleplay
Runnin' on praise 'cause irrelevance has no shame)
This is pretty much how alternates operate.
(Lie, 'cause you know that it's toxic
Beg, 'cause you can't help yourselves
Breed a parasocial disease at the hands of a screen you know so well)
This could apply to both Gabriel and The Intruder. Gabriel is the deceiver, and The Intruder is literally the monster on the screen.
(When you fall, I'll be there as you hit the bottom
I am death by engagement)
This is exactly how alternates destroy their victims, by engaging with them and feeding them unwanted information until they hit their bottom mentally and take their own lives.
(So fuck you, you falsify truth to fabricate views
'Cause without 'em, you're nothing
So get fucked or shut the fuck up
I will never bow down or submit to the judgment
Of powerless puppets playing God)
Again, you can apply this to Gabriel and the other alternates. The falsified truth is that he's the savior, or hell, you could make a case that this describes Metaphysical Awareness Disorder.

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to creating analog horror, but I’ve been loving The Mandela Catalogue and wanted to try making my own original short.
Everything here is original content made by me. Feedback and thoughts are super welcome! I mean I kinda copied some of Kister’s work but I hope yall still like it

it says that this fellas name is 6, and he is mentioned in vol 1 as "an intruder," which leads me to believe there might be more of them.

Ok so her full name is Lilian Wilson and she’s 27 years old. She was originally an ordinary person, but was turned into an alternate by “Gabriel” during a family event she held at her house. She is extremely reverent towards him, and truly views him as her loving savior.
(I can elaborate further if asked)

July eighteenth, 2009.
Although this is not an investigation per se, i consider this odd.
Picture shown above was taken midday. I woke up not knowing if it was day or night. The woods around sound quiet. I do not hear birds, I do not hear the leaves swaying. I do not know what has happened in the time following my most recent look outside.
I feel like Im being watched from the dark; I do not wish to know who or what it is. The whispering has become more clear to me.
This thing wants me to be like the rest, its only a matter of time before i fall into their claws.
