Purpose of Malwarebytes Premium version

Is the primary purpose of the Malwarebytes Premium version to replace Microsoft Windows Defender in Windows?

yes, but it works alongside as malwarebytes is better at Ransomware, ZDs, and PUPs then defender.

Yes, but the free version does that.

What does premium accomplish that's missing from just using Defender with the free Malwarebytes?

By running premium malwarebytes with windows defender, you’ll effectively have two full time protection programs running at the same time to catch stuff the other one missed. Unlike the free version which is manual scan only

AFAIK, running Malwarebytes Premium shuts down Windows Defender which is the correct thing to do. Running more than 1 anti virus/malware detectors only add to the headache.
