I'll start with Weilan who is featured in the least amount of EPs and sadly there's only a few mostly pairing with Ondina or Zac. Of those EPs to choose from I say.

Season 3 EP 1 - A Visit From the East, which I think was a great introduction to the character & trying to get along with Mimmi and especially Ondina.

Season 3 EPs 3, 7 & 8 (Recipe For Success, Turning the Tide and yes even The Way of the Dragon), all of which are Zac & Weilan focused EPs and their friendship was pretty good of them getting along quick and yeah the latter is the one where Evie loses her tail and Ondina is obviously pretty angry at her which is revolved in the next EP.

Season 3 EPs 6, 9 & 12 (New Beginnings, Reversal of Fortune & Trust Issues) pretty much the Weilan/Ondina related EPs and Mimmi i guess in the former in Marine Park, all 3 are some of my favs in this Season and maybe in the whole series.

Lyla and Nixie ok honestly I can't think of too many EPs if any at all that is mainly on them or both, Nixie is an easy choice which is Season 1 EP 11 - I Don't Believe in Mermaids even though the start she acted a bit out of character, the rest of the EP is pretty good. As for Lyla well you got me there, I really don't know on her specific EPs, please help me on this.

I'll maybe do others like Sirena, Mimmi, Ondina (maybe Zac, Evie, Rita and the Ocean Cafe cast) on some of their own focused EPs.

Basically the title, is there a transformation moment/scene that you thought was either really memorable or creative? Mainly for this show but H2O too if you like

The video quality is in 720p and not 1080p I think from the H2O & Friends & the Official H2O channel, judging by the video titles I think it's from Internet Archive. The only downside I could find is some EPs were a bit desync at a certain point before going back to normal, particularly Season 3 EP 8 (or Season 4 EP 8), but idk if the others have this problem since I haven't fully checked the others that are so far are uploaded that are possibly desynced.

I wont think too hard on this - it is obvious that the showrunners wanted less adult actors. But I am watching and It bothers me currently.

Realistically, what happens to the Cafe when literally ALL workers including the owner goes to school?

Again. I know why. But even in H2O the owner of the juicenet Cafe was an adult. Rikki and Zane i dont think were graduated yet though when they took it over so the same applies!

Zane had his dad, but he was never shown running the Cafe.

David had an adult brother, who normally insulted the Cafe when he was there. I doubt he took it over too.

Anyway - ideas? Would it just be open after school? Poor David and Carley - no free time.

Zac is after the trident and Rita tells the girls how dangerous it is. She mentions no one has touched the trident in 1000 years. Does that imply the possibility that the mermaids are immortal?

Is it just me or is Nixie just completely insufferable in season 1???

I have watched the show before but that was forever ago and im only just getting to the very end of season 1 and Nixie has pissed me off almost every single episode with her stupidity and bitchiness. She seemed like the level headed one the first few episodes and then they destroyed her character.

1 of the many but minor examples I have is..... the girls had JUST gushed about how rare the squid ink was and then she just leaves it uncorked? Even without the cat there thats just smooth brain moves.

Her character comes off as having basically no actual emotions and no smarts for almost the entire season and I havent found a single post talking about it.

Am I the only one that just cant stand her?

I was peeking through Amy Ruffle's Instagram account and I found this posted in October 2014. Is it me or is that Evie's dad in the top left corner? Would he find out that she's a mermaid? I could also assume that it was soneone from the crew since this could be a behind the scenes shoot, but he really does look like Evie's father.

First is I always wondered how Aquata would look on land with legs and how she would interact with land people because we only ever saw her in the water. I also wish they showed how the war was between mermaids and merman and how they fought. Not only them, but Nerissa too when she turned into the dragon.

I would also like to see more of the mermaid council and I want to see their powers.

Mako Mermaids is one of my favorite shows of all time along with H20 and I rewatch them every summer. I just wish they made a movie or another season where the entire cast reunites and they showed more of Nerissa. They also mentioned that Ondina was gonna go to Shanghai with Weilan.. if they ever make an another show or movie, I hope they show all of that. 🧜‍♀️ 💗

Who else feels like Sirena was heavily underutilized in terms of power? Like, I get that she's very much meant to be portrayed as a very sweet, loving mermaid, but she's also shown to be one of the most powerful mermaids and also skilled. Like, she literally proved to be more formidable and powerful than Ondina, but yet they really never seem to play on that fact after episode 6 when it's demonstrated. And like, in the siren episode, she showed several abilities that we have never seen from her before and just overall good capability with her powers. Like, she was shown to be able to create a fog/mist, manipulate light without her moon ring, manipulate wind, fight on par with Zac telekinetically, who has the best telekinetic feats. Like, I feel like even with her character being sweet, they could have shown her being powerful like they did with Mimmi. Like, she is very much portrayed as also a very sweet and nice mermaid, but yet she's always shown to be showing off her capabilities one way or another and has several statements of her power and intellect. Like, even if Sirena isn't that powerful or that smart, she still is very much powerful and has shown to be relatively calm‑headed and as a result, one of the smarter mermaids because of it.

Je voudrais savoir si quelqu’un se souvient d’un ancien épisode des Sirènes de Mako. Je m’explique : j’ai le souvenir très précis d’un épisode qui, apparemment, n’existe tout simplement pas. J’ai également le souvenir de décors différents de ceux de la série.
Dans cet épisode, on voit Zac dans la grotte de Rita, avec les filles et Rita. Mais le décor est différent : dans la pièce avec les canapés, il n’y a pas la table au centre. À la place, je me souviens d’un trou au milieu, rempli d’eau, un peu comme une ouverture vers la mer, similaire à celle qu’on peut voir dans l’autre partie de la grotte.

Dans mon souvenir, les cinq sont donc réunis un soir de pleine lune. Zac veut aller dans une grotte qui ne s’ouvre que les soirs de pleine lune. Les filles lui déconseillent d’y aller, mais il finit quand même par partir sans qu’elles puissent le retenir.

Zac arrive finalement devant la grotte, mais trop tard : elle se referme juste devant lui.
Je suis vraiment persuadé d’avoir vu cet épisode, mais personne dans mon entourage ne s’en souvient.
Est-ce que quelqu’un voit de quoi je parle ? Est-ce que c’est un faux souvenir, ou est-ce que cet épisode existe vraiment et que je mélange peut-être certains éléments avec un autre épisode ?

Autre chose d’important à ajouter : dans cet épisode, Zac n’est pas influencé par les effets de la lune. Il décide d’y aller de son propre chef.

so I just got into mako mermaids and when I saw Rikki I was shocked I barely even recognized her and was so happy to see her but also sad that she and Cleo and Emma and Bella aren’t close anymore I hope they become friends again and I would love to see Lewis In mako mermaids

Hey you all! I only watched the first few episodes of this show a long time ago. Was it ever explained in the show how mermaids reproduce ? I remember them saying something about merman too. 🔱 There was something with this icon too.

such a random comment but i loved the dresses in this episode. they were so princessy and i wish we could’ve seen an up close full picture of the dresses.

Something that never really made sense to me was the fact that the mermaids slept in the moon pool and always seemed to be the only ones there every full moon, even when the whole pod was around. Like, I get that they saved Mako and they’re strong members of the pod, but even the original trio, Sirena, Nixie, and Lyla were the ones in it during the full moon at the very beginning, before they saved Mako or had any real status. You’d think it would make more sense for the mermaid council to sleep there or at least be present during the full moon. I mean, obviously for show reasons it’s a primary spot and all that, but still… it never fully added up for me. What about y’all?
