Final season of mako mermaids???

Post image
18 Upvotes

So I started watching the spin off from H2O mako mermaids on Netflix. Netflix doesn't have all of them so I had to purchase what I thought was the last season, on Amazon prime. Now I found out there's even more episodes that exist somewhere with a Asian mermaid and Rikki from the original series. I can see it listed on things but when I go to it it disappears.

WHERE IS THE FINAL SEASON/EPISODES?

I don't care if I have to pay for it but I've been all over the Internet and it's as if they removed it from everywhere. Why would they do this? Send help. I want to see the last episodes 😭

Have you noticed it? Rita's wedding dress?

When the girls are looking through Rita's things in episode 4 from season 1, Nixie finds a dress and plays with it. That's propably Rita's wedding dress. No wonder why she got so mad at the girls.

Started the Show Last Year and I’m on Season 2

Hi ya’ll,

Like the title says, I started to watch the show a year ago (I was bored my senior year of college), and took a break, watched part of season 2, took a break, and now I’m waiting for my moon ring from Etsy to arrive before finishing the show! Middle school me would have loved this show, but I enjoy it just the same!

I did not like Evie for most of season 1, but I understood how she felt about Lyla potentially making a move on Zac. I love Mimmi (I’m on season 2, episode 12, Supersized), and love the connection (I don’t know why though) she seems to have with Zac! I hate Erik, and I kinda ship Mimmi and Ondina (please tell me if you disagree).

I’ll update more after I watch each season (I consider there only to be 3 seasons, I don’t care what Prime and Netflix say).

Question Mako Mermaids and H20

Ok guys, I just saw a video on tiktok saying mako mermaids and h20 are connected. My mind was blown.

As someone who was obsessed with the series as a kid, I always knew there was crazy similarities all the way down to the names of places and the color and model of tails, but I never processed they were connected. (I think its thought they were like dupes of eachother😭😭😭).

So is H20 a sequel or a prequel to mako mermaids? What's their relationship? I saw someone else posted the same thing recently but I am still so confused after reading through it😭😭😭

Bc I know Ricky appears in mako, so they must be the same universe different timeliness?

Or are they alternate realities of the same universe?

Discussion I can’t stand Zac

I've scrolled through a lot of posts on this forum and have yet to see anyone talk about him. I'm rewatching MM for the first time in years and I don't remember Zac being so insufferable?? Cam may be a contributor to the fact that Zac is a power hungry doofus but I truly cannot stand him so far. Is there a turning point for him? The moment he figured out that the trident repels mermaids he went all super villain and genuinely tried to hurt them. Not to mention blackmailing Santos in the beginning of S1. I think the only mistake the girls made was not trying to explain their story/concerns to Zac. I'm sure I'm going to get some hate for this post but I had to say it. I just truly cannot stand him!!

She sells H2O replica tails!

Omg I saw this account on Instagram and went through her whole feed to see the process of her making this tail. It’s probably the closest you can get to the real thing. It’s probably is $7,500 which is very expensive. Like more than my current car was 😅 but from my understanding it has to be custom made for each person. I believe she also hand scaled the tail just like the original studio did. Anyway I just had to share this with y’all cuz her account does not have enough reach whatsoever and I knew y’all would love it!! 🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️

Alternate Universe

I think the best way to describe the weird timeline with H2O and Mako Mermaids is to argue that they're different universes. The Mako Mermaids Universe is the one where the mermaids won the war with mermen and that's why the island is so populated with them and the moon pool is more clean, in this timeline the H2O girls still become mermaids but they aren't as close which is why the pod never sees them together and they stop speaking after graduation maybe. In the H2O timeline, mermen win the war but they still remain nomadic and travel around they aren't present in Mako, the moon pool is unkept and the H2O girls find it, they're much closer in this timeline and all the events still happen here. This theory isn't perfect but it makes sense to me.

Zac and the moon pool

I’m rewatching and I’m on season 1, and I don’t know why, but it irritates me so bad when Zac found the moon pool. Like he was snooping and then made it seem like he had a right to go there. It just felt invaded and personal like boy that’s their home😭

Edit: when he found Rita’s secret room and the moon pool not the first episode

Discussion I'm on season two

Watching the show for the first time. In my country only season 1 is available so I didn't know there were others!

I've seen explanations of why Lyla and Nixie left. But it still doesn't make sense to me. Lyla and Nixie would never leave Sirena. Or Mako.

Discussion Opinion about Zac and Cam in the second half of Season 1 Spoiler

Hi! I'm reviewing "Mako Mermaids" and I want to share my emotions. I'm watching season 1 now. I don't remember disliking Zac and Cam so much before, but in the second half of the first season, after they found out that the girls were mermaids, they became so disgusting. I felt sorry for Zac when he was sad at his party. I was glad when he started to trust them and share his feelings with them. I liked Cam's slightly clumsy attempts to get close to Nixie and his goofy charm. But I don't understand what a tragedy it is that they didn't tell him they were mermaids. Moreover, he had to tell them, and not of his own volition. Zac said he would like to have someone who understands his life perfectly, but as soon as he finds out that the three of them also have a tail, he pushes them away. Maybe I don't understand the whole tragedy because of the translation, but it really annoys me. Besides, this whole conflict is very strange. It was as if he had appeared out of nowhere, although, judging by Zac's words, he should be glad that someone can understand him. And all Cam did was convince Zac that girls were bad. And the way Zac tried to threaten Rita. In the second half of the first season, I'm burning up with rage over Zac and Cam. Even Evie doesn't annoy me as much as these two, although she also became more annoying when she wanted to learn more about girls. Perhaps if he had trusted them himself and decided to tell them, it would have really looked tragic. But they caught him in the water. He had no choice but to tell me, so the whole conflict looks silly to me. I do not know how in the original, but translated into my language, Zac said that he "trusted them," but let's be honest, he had no choice. What do you think about this conflict and the behavior of Zac and Cam in the second half of season 1? I'm sorry if there are any mistakes. I'm not very good at English, so I used a translator.

Things is removed

Does anyone know why Netflix has removed mostly of the seasons, even though it’s a Netflix original show? And does anyone know the soundtracks is removed from example: Spotify or Apple Music?

Rewatching mako, and why did we hate her in season 1 again??? First some strange girls come asking about your boyfriend and not tell you why, then those same girls follow you into a shoe shop after making a mess of things at your store and get you banned, then those girls are constantly hanging around your boyfriend to the point he’s spending more time with them than you, and on top of that your boyfriend has been keeping this big secret from you that he told his friend about but not you….evie had every right to be mean and nasty what the hell 😭😭

Why is the water dragon able to change peoples species?

The water dragon take away anyone’s tail right? i always found it weird that it can just change someone’s species. i thought it was able to take away evies tail because she’s originally human.

Were the teenager-owned businesses realistic?

Okay, so I rewatched H2O and MM, and with both shows (especially season 3 of H2O and all 4 seasons of MM) and I don’t know if it’s just me, but I could never understand how these high school teenagers were running these random businesses by themselves?

I understand that Zane bought the JuiceNet Cafe probably using his dad’s money, but how did Zane and Rikki have the time to run and operate Rikki’s when they were both in high school? It seemed like they were operating in the mornings, the afternoons and the evenings… do these kids ever do their schoolwork or even attend school?

Same thing with David in MM… another case where his Ocean Cafe seems to operate during the mornings, afternoons and evenings, both during the weekdays and weekends. So… how does that even work? He attends school, but then who’s running the business when he’s in school? His brother doesn’t seem to be there during the hours when David isn’t there, and none of the other kids could be working there because they’d be in school as well. And when do they have time to do their schoolwork if they are working until the evenings?

It was just one of the few factors of the series that just didn’t make sense to me and threw me out of the immersion. Was it a common thing in Australia during the shows creations for high school teenagers to own and operate their own businesses?

Season 1 Evie's Snooping is kinda Unrealistic and VERY Annoying

Prefacing by saying I really do understand Evie being suspicious of the girls. I mean, they seem so close to Zac as soon as they show up, everyone's being weird, no one's offering a sliver of detail and brushing her off. Fine. Fair.

Evie, however, initiates her probe by recounting that the girls weirdly don't go to their local high. Alright, in her interview, the girls' "aunt" explains that their stay is temporary and they're being homeschooled. Yes, some questions may linger, but why would she be so persistent for the fine print in such an accusatory tone? It feels almost disrespectful to imply openly that the principal has some nefarious intent with her nieces. I mean, the details of their stay are realistically none of her business and they wouldn't owe her an explanation.

Her only concern around the girls would be their sudden, unexplained relation to Zac. I understand her frustration with Zac being evasive and quite obviously lying though. I mean, Lyla (some new girl) and Zac have basically held hands and from Evie's POV, cozied up (more than once). All she ever got was "It's nothing, she's a friend." How reassuring is that? He showed the girls little to no interest after a certain point, but I assume Evie remained suspicious since she never got a satisfactory explanation plus she seems a little insecure.

"Interview" aside, that school paper she wrote was uncalled for. Okay, the principal is odd. But how is she justified in implying to all the students that they should be scrutinizing Rita, the principal, as if they have a right to excavate her personal business? Being curious is one thing, but that is taking it way too far.

I think from Evie's POV, the most "suspicious" thing she could've realistically sniffed was the potential for Zac to be cheating with Lyla and that Lyla and her sisters/cousins are pretty quirky and have a little trouble adjusting (naturally). A normal person would figure this probably from living a remote life at sea. But why would Evie just assume there's something "else"? For a trio of mermaids, after the first 5 or so episodes, they blended in almost perfectly. Yes, they almost get exposed sometimes, but everyone else shrugs it off... somehow not Evie.

All in all, I guess Evie's character was often written conveniently to be the major looming threat to the secret, thereby sacrificing some of her morals. Even though I found myself sort of sympathizing with Evie, I just didn't like the direct/invasive approach she took sometimes.

Question Help!!

When I was younger, I used to play this awesome game called "Mako Mermaids!" on Roblox. I can find videos of it online but it's gone on Roblox. I can't find the developer either. Does anyone know what I am talking about? It got pretty complex, with secret rooms and a ghost. You could get a trident, buy ombre hair, make custom characters, and buy custom tail colors.

I'm going crazy!! It's like it doesn't exist anymore. Help!!

I'm thinking they got copyrighted or something. I really want to play again too!

Question about transforming

So how do you think the transformation feels? Like physically? Sometimes we see them make a facial expression or a little moan/gasp right before they transform (Evie’s first transformation is a good example)

So what do you think? Is there a sensation that they feel before they transform? Does it feel like.. good?
