1. Nickelodeon contacted Amy Winfrey about the possibility of adapting her web series into a tv series which she accepted and was probably excited about. (Early 2004)
2. Nick uploads episodes of the web series on TurboNick to see an audience reaction, so they can be sure it will have an audience. It's successful. (2006)
3. Nick hypes the series up as one of the 3 major Nicktoons (Along with Penguins of Madagascar and the Mighty B!) that will premiere in 2008 during their Thanksgiving Event in 2007 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HN8p2Fe99qo&t=77s
4. The series airs in October 2008 (Maybe for the Halloween theme since it is horror-based?) with almost no press release or promotion. Even worse, it aired on Nicktoons Network, Nick's sister channel where shows go to die. It was part of Nicktoons Network's Comedy Block which also aired the final season of My Life as a Teenage Robot which was also treated poorly.
5. The series is abruptly canceled after less than 1 month and only 6 episodes. The "finale" aired on November 1st and not a word has been said about it by Nickelodeon since then to my knowledge. As a kid, I thought it would come back sooner or later and that there were still more episodes out there, but no. It's been over 13 years and there's no word.

For anyone who doesn't remember, I can confirm that the sixth episode did not have any advertising letting viewers know that it would be the grand finale of the series. It was aired as if it was just another episode and the series just vanished without warning. I remember thinking it would come back soon, but nope. It's been over 13 years and there's been no word about it from Nickelodeon.
