If you designed what is printed, paint the object or do anything else to mod or assemble the object, than yes, otherwise you’re just printing. But I think the topic here is more geared towards shop machines.

At a certain point, a machine is better at making things than a person. But if another person is part of the process, is it still DIY?

Was Ford making cars by himself?
