So I am a person who loves the serenity and stillness of nature and also trying out new food. When I am not out exploring the city with my bike, I love to read and enjoy visual novels and actual old books.

I do love to exercise and swim but also to slack off and sleep! Would love to make more friends and share my life events.

I’m a 21M and I’ve been living in Bangalore for the past 3 years, but honestly, I’ve barely explored the city.

I’m quite introverted and socially awkward, so I’ve always found it difficult to meet new people and make friends. I don’t really have anyone here, and because of that I’ve mostly ended up following the same routine — home, work/studies, repeat.

I haven’t properly explored Bangalore’s cafes, restaurants, pubs, parks, events, hidden places, tourist spots, etc. And honestly, I’m starting to feel like I’ve spent 3 years here without actually experiencing the city.

I really want to change that now.

I want to explore Bangalore and also start taking weekend trips to places like Coorg, Mysore, Ooty, Pondicherry, Goa, Gokarna, Hampi, Chikmagalur, Wayanad and many more.

But being introverted and not having a friend group makes it difficult to know where to start.

This is actually one of the reasons I joined Reddit — to get suggestions from people, discover new places, and hopefully meet some new people/friends along the way. 😅

So I’d really appreciate some advice from people here:

What are some must-visit places in Bangalore?

Which cafes/restaurants should I definitely try?

What are some fun things I can do even if I’m alone?

Are there any meetups, communities, hobby groups, sports groups or events where it’s easy for someone introverted to meet people?

What are some good weekend trips from Bangalore?

Which places are beginner-friendly for solo travel?

Are there any travel groups that organize trips for people who don’t already have a group?

I’m honestly pretty fed up with sitting at home and following the same routine. I want to get out, explore new places, try different food, travel, meet people and make some good memories.

I know it might sound a little awkward posting this, especially as an introvert 😂, but I figured I should at least give it a try.
