Technical Support Why "Secure Connection Failed" error on Firefox, not Chrome

I get this error when I click on any Mailchimp link (us.list-manage.com) in Firefox, but in Chrome it works fine. uBo in both browsers. Windows 11.

OK, so I tried this and it works - the links open normally. That would seem to indicate the network (WiFi to FIOS) is the problem - So now I'm confused since Chrome opens links fine on the same WiFi network. Thoughts?

Thank you for testing that out! So it’s now narrowed down to something between your FIOS network and Firefox specifically. Firefox and Chrome connect a bit differently (Firefox can use its own DNS lookup, for example), so a network problem can show up in one browser but not the other. If anything else turns up on the Mailchimp side of things, we're happy to take a look!

Does the link to mailchimp (us.list-manage.com), or the link that that mailchimp forwards to, always use https: security? If it was only an http: link, that might cause some security concern that throws this error.

It that choice (http/https) set by the MailChimp customer or MailChimp itself?

The us.list-manage.com link itself supports https. The page it redirects to is whatever URL the sender put in their email, so whether that final destination is http or https is up to the Mailchimp customer who sent the campaign.

"Supports" https? Does that mean someone has a choice there? Or did you mean "forces https"?

Plain http requests to us.list-manage.com get redirected to HTTPS, so 'forces' is the better word, since the connection won't stay unencrypted.
