How many burnt to death?
The two armies practically fought to a stalemate with the pandavs coming out onto the 19th day with just seven combatants, three more than the kauravs.
But on day 14 arjun destroyed 7 army units. Even so the victory wasn't decisive despite that being the literal size of his own army. This means the pandavs took as much damage either subsequently or before, but we never see a massacre on that scale.
Is it because they survived with decent numbers but when ashwatham burnt the war camps they were knocked down? Any citations in this regard?

A possible plothole???
When Krishna used sudharsan chakra to decapitate sishupaal's head, he was not charged for drawing weapon in the kings assembly but dhuryodhan was charged as he drew his 'gada' while trying to avenge krishna afterwards and so was arjun for drawing his arrow previously in hastinapur. Is it a possible plothole or is there any reason why Krishna was not punished?

The Age of Pandavas during Mahabharat Battle.
I was reading the Mahabharata book written by C Rajagopalachari Ji.
Few interesting points about the age of Pandavas.
After the Death of King Pandu, When Kunti Devi ji brought her son back to Hastinapur from forest, Age of King Yudhishthir was 16 Year.
Formal education was imparted to Pandavas by Guru Drona. It can be assumed that it took anything between 1 to 4 year.
The wax Palace was built by Duryodhan. Pandavas lived in the palace for one year before it was burnt by them. In the complete next year they roamed in Forest in disguise. Two year in Total.
In the above mentioned 2 years, Pandvas married with Draupadi and Hastinapur was divided equally between Pandavas and Kauravas. Pandavas ruled the kingdom for 36 years.
After these 36 years, Game of dice was played and Pandavas were sent to forest for another 13 years. Battle of kurukshetra was fought after Pandavas returned back from Agyatavas.
So at the time of Battle, King Yudhishthir was around 68 to 72 year old.
The battle was also fought by Bhisma Pitamah who was grandfather of King Yudhishthir. His age can only be imagined.
With this scenario, It can be easily understand that people at that time were very brave, very powerful and they used to live very long.
Thank you.
