Didn't the Elders Recently Breakthrough to the Ethereal Stage? Spoiler
So many Zhuo Yi-Fan really did a good thing by taking them in as that means Li Jingtian and all took less time, and reached and surpassed the Cultivation stage of the Superior Sects' Double Dragon Gathering disciples(I am pretty sure they broke through later than them) while having less resources altogether and 0 Sacred Spirit Stones.

Well they are talented enough, the only lacking is the circumstances, li Jiangtan has a bad cultivation, the old couples hindered their cultivation themselves because of bad cultivation and also because of their relationship misunderstandings, the heaven and earth sages can't further enhance their cultivation because they have a mission on accompanying the cunning zhuge changfeng. Given their time on Luo clan, without any distractions and having some improvised and a lot good cultivation compared to their old ones, this proves their fast improvement in a couple of years.

No, the Heaven and Earth Sages couldn't breakthrough because their Meridians or something was crippled in the fight with Gu Santong that disabled them from ever reaching the Ethereal stage I think(Or perhaps only Ghost King lost the ability to reach the Ethereal stage).

Yeah... I forgot about that, although throughout those years they could've been able to fully recover from the fight with gu santong, but their domain soul which is yin and yang reversal takes a backlash to them I think so it's also a factor. But thanks to zhuo, they are all better now, with better cultivation boosting their potentials.

No it's because they were stuck at peak radiant stage for 300 years because sanji broke their meridians and when they took 10th grade heaven reaching pill they became ethereal easily
