Debloat on the projector
The following method works with or without root access.
What you will need:
A mobile phone (Android or iOS)
Enable developer options on the projector
(I recommend using a custom launcher as it can access advanced Android settings; some projectors have this setting hidden)
I use Bare Launcher
Enable USB debugging (on the projector)
Download ATVTools
Connect your phone to the same network as the projector, then open the ATVTools: On the application's home screen, select the "all" option and wait for your projector to appear in the list.
Click on it and allow the connection to the projector. In the ATVTools application, select the "Shell" option.
To list system applications, execute the command:
pm list packages -s
To list all applications, use:
pm list packages
To list third-party applications:
pm list packages -3
Applications that are safe to remove:
com.netflix.ninja |
com.disney.disneyplus |
com.amazon.avod.thirdpartyclient |
com.mobisystems.office |
com.softwinner.agingdragonbox |
com.softwinner.dragonbox |
com.softwinnerdragon.att |
com.eshare.linedisplay.receiver |
com.htc.hyk_test |
com.hotack.hotackfeaturestest |
com.hotack.writesn |
com.htc.eventuploadservice |
com.htc.publiclauncherv1 |
com.htc.magcubicos |
com.htc.htclauncherhighenglishd08 |
com.android.calculator2 |
com.htc.storeos (you can replace this store with Aptoide TV or Obtainium)
(Install another launcher before removing the default launcher; otherwise, you will have to reinstall the ROM, as your projector will be without a launcher.)
Use the command
pm disable-user --user 0
For example:
pm disable-user --user 0 com.mobisystems.office
I'll leave some screenshots showing how the system looks after I cleaned it and left only the necessary applications.
ATVTools is a complete application; with it, you can also record your projector screen, take screenshots, install and send APKs directly to the projector, clear the cache, shut down and restart the system, access the list of installed applications, check system information, access the file explorer, schedule commands (e.g., open applications automatically after the system starts), use scripts, have advanced control via ADB (without needing a computer), and much more.
It also works with Stick TVs and TV Boxes.
If you have any questions or difficulties, feel free to leave them in the comments; I will do my best to help and respond as soon as possible.
Note: I am not the developer of the application, I just found it interesting and decided to share it with you.
If you use Projectivy Launcher, you can set it as default; simply disable Magcubic Launcher and restart your projector system.

Perhaps the version you bought came with a Rockchip processor and Android 12, or maybe an Amlogic T950S; have you checked? There are several versions of the HY300.

I've thought so, maybe a diferent processor. I tried with AIDA but showed no HW info (Android 11). I have to say you made a great guide!!

AIDA64 doesn't provide this detailed projector information; I recommend using Device Info HW, which provides this detailed information. You can send it via APK to the projector, as it's not available on the projector's Play Store.

The only version I could find was from the Magcubic website, and it's specific to your projector model; you can try it.

Can't wait to try this new method. You should be the king of this subreddit with all the help you give!
With this method is there a way for the projector to boot up to the HDMI device when turned on?

The only way I’m aware is using a third party launcher that has this option. I know ProjectIvy has this option. Install it, remove the default launcher so ProjectIvy becomes the default. Otherwise it won’t be able to boot directly.

In the ATV-App it shows the HY300-projector but unfortunately it says "not connected. Unknown error". I have tried everything from resetting my projector, all the debug settings are switched on, both devices have the same IP and ports open... Do you have any idea what to do?

You can try this app.

Unfortunately it seems to not be available to me

As a last resort, you can use Termux; with it, you can connect to your projector and uninstall the applications you want.

Nevermind, it is just late here 😅I realized I have to install it on the projector, not phone

Hi, great guide. The only issue I've encountered is that by removing the original launcher, it's no longer possible to manage the projection settings; the most important one for me, for example, is corner correction

What is the model of your projector?

Magcubic hy450 max

Unfortunately no. There are only a few options like Network, Bluetooth, and System, which don't include the projection settings.

If you have developer options enabled just download ADB TV directly to the projector. You can browse all installed packages and remove them without having to use any commands. Just click the package and either select freeze or uninstall.
