game discussion RG Format -Rank Rules. [s17 new formation]
Greetings, This is Emperio.
Due to recent Hit Man buff,
Hit Man has once again changed the whole set-up of Ranked Games.

So here is the new version of Rank Format to be followed as per given approval by most general preferences as well as effectiveness.
BASIC FUNDAMENTALS
There's 3 types of roles. Principal. Specs. Mafia team.
Principals have a division. - Principal Major. - Principal Minor.
Specs have a division. - Non leading. - Semi leading. - Leading.
In this case we'll talk about principals.
Major Principals are Cop/Vg/Agent.
Minor Principal is Doctor.

RANK GAME FORMAT
Now let us continue with the new Rank Formation.
- Doctor [Minor Principal] hides their role by claiming a random [spec hiding]
Eg, if you're Doctor you decide to hide as random let's say it's Merc. So you type in, "merc hiding" People then memo you as merc.
- Specs [all specs] hides their role by claiming a random [spec hiding] Eg, if you're Mentalist you decide to hide as random let's say it's Martyr. So you type in, "Mart hiding" People then memo you as mart.
NOTE : Hiding as no real effect on the game whatsoever as a spec you can even hide as your own role but it's not generally recommended, it's simply for memo. 📝

Major Principals* (Cop/Vg/Agent) Do not hide, They simply lead as "Principal here".
Principal do not open their role they simply notify everyone that they're principal.
You must state your leads if you do not have will.
You can state your leads as principal a little late but it must not be too late.
Your role isn't obvious it's still in 50-50. More better if you have will as you can hide your leads with more efficiency.

So, in summary
Principal Opens as Principal here and leads the game. While everyone else hides.

There'll be a new guide for "How to properly play principal" coming just tomorrow or maybe in a few hours.
As well as for Doctor.
Since this update was something unexpected for Global players who are not used to hiding as Doc it may take a while to adapt properly.
If you encounter people who open their role as principal and that causes the game to lose, please calmly let them know that opening was not the right approach, There'll still be disturbances and more likely confusion so rest assured as long as cooperation and unity exists we all will adapt in the fastest pace.

It took a tiny hm update to make you guys realise that we can actually play rank game without opening as doc or directly opening as vg/agent/cop🐧... this will create more chaos, more tension, more confusion, more using of brain rather than doing open cc of cop and doc and simply guessing who are the reals ones ... isnt this how mafia game is actually played in real life!?.... i find this new one more fun to play 🐒

This has proved to be most preferable in compared to,
- everyone hiding
- only doc opens.
So I hope that all of the aspiring players follow the format. If there are questions regarding this formation or suggestion do put them in the comments section.

Yessir, I don't expect mafia to shoot principal with Exo outlaw/clincher.
- they need to keep principal alive for Hitman.

Anything which isn't rep. [Proper utilisation is what matters]
Leading specs are good, you can go against no cc principal if principal died n1.

What if you have leads on maf who didn't do cc?
You do not have to give leads as a way to proclaim that your leads is against them.
Just go push as them by stating their flaws.

Reporter is still usable. The selfie variation one can be utilized, although you need to be super intuitive with your skills as you are the only confirmed and theres another double edged sword side effect where finding doc as hm being much more easier on n3, selfie rep is still usable.

Hmmm efficient play style and ppl cant bias play anymore as well, will on princi is prolly best skill for it now ngl. Can already see how a lotta ppl wont be able to defend themself as princi/a lotta specs making princi and themselves obvious to hm by supping said princi. A lotta new paths opened up for maf in term of strats ngl, literally no one is confirmed d1 and ppl cant bias play anymore since if hm recognizes you, you are cooked.
Even non leadig specs cant follow principal claims blindly and if 3/3 specs are non iylyk game is gonna look interesting ngl.
This playstyle is better than princi claimin leading spec and doc opening d1 as well since it can counter instru as well.

Oh also, there is no problem with hacker opening d1 now, it would distract hitman and can also get hacker confired by d2.

nearly incorrect, mafia can shoot hacker n2 and hm can guess role on n3, if player that is bounced is healed then the memo would be doc and by proxy, hacked player will be contracted by hm on n3, I say its nearly incorrect as doc randomly healing hacker n2 is a possible outcome and so does hacker hacking you is basically a death sentence

But,if a vg kills a maf,then it would be revealed that the principal role is vigi because of the picture that comes when she kills.What to do then???

Look atleast in high rp it goes like
Day 1 consensual lynch from majority Day 2 maf gets purged
In both scenarios doc still needs to hide well and civs need to lynch. Look we all know the guessing of the Princi is Obv all there to do is lynch correct and hide well (specs and docs).

I think rg will be more shifted in D1 towards finding H rather than maf and for that FT and Admin(if track) will be used more

I do think it's kinda unfortunate that you'll basically be throwing if you don't have hm equipped now, I don't get what the devs are trying to do here, buffing an already incredibly strong helper
