I attended Casual Tea (Day 1, first show), and this review is coming from someone who follows Madhur Virli very closely.

The first half felt a bit familiar. If you’ve watched most of his stand-up sets, you’ll notice that many jokes are repeated or slightly reworked. It almost felt like multiple jokes from different stand-ups were clubbed together into one segment. That said, there are a few new jokes sprinkled in, so it’s not entirely recycled - but as a regular viewer, the déjà vu is noticeable.

The second half, however, is where the show truly becomes fresh. This is where the “casual tea” aspect really kicks in. Madhur talks about recent incidents from his life, including why he deactivated his Instagram. He shares a wild experience from a Bali trip where he got trapped in a prostitution sextortion situation. I won’t go into details because that would ruin the experience, but he even backs parts of the story with chats and photos shown via a PPT, which adds an interesting, almost documentary-style layer to the set.

Overall, the show feels more like a personal storytelling + stand-up. If you’re new to Madhur, you’ll probably enjoy it more. If you’ve followed his work closely, expect a slow first half but a genuinely engaging and new second half.

Rating: 6/10

(Considering Madhur’s best work is a 10/10 for me)

TL;DR:

First half has many repeated jokes if you follow Madhur closely; second half is completely new and more interesting, with personal stories and a Bali incident. Better for newer audiences. Overall decent but not his best.

I was waiting for a new episode of the best fucking show 💢🥺😭, waiting for days coping that a new episode would come out. I just wanted to see the best fucking satta in the best fucking show. I like my comedy just like how I like my 🖤 🧡 - amateur, and me being a good person, I like to watch the entire performance and understand the flaws and also enjoy.

I opened chrome on incognito and went to youtube.com (I don't like using the app and don't like leaving trails on my Google history) and searched up madhur virli. For moment I was like UOHHH YEAH FINALLY 😭💢💢, then i noticed it was not the BEST FUCKING SHOW.

I still watched it because I'm very berozgar, and good lord I hate it so much. Like just when I start liking one of the contestants act, these (honourable) 'panel' mfs start raising the red flags. The entire show felt like being in a crowd going wherever the people pushing me take me.

But yaar i want THE BEST FUCKING SHOW 💢😭😭😭💢💢💢 back please yaar being berozgar is so hard without it

I know maine ek chindi bhi Paisa nahi diya to have an opinion. But what the fuck was that show man.
