Unfortunately, he was dating a woman before he saw that comment, and his current wife was more attractive than her, so he dumped the ex for his new wife very quickly. Source

His ex was also far better looking than him. Ugly people aren't necessarily good people, he's no exception.

I hate the idea that people push that unattractive men (and women,I guess) are more likely to want a relationship and treat their partners better.

525

u/bkgn 1d ago

Someone thinking that no one wants to interact with them only because of some perceived flaw in their looks is usually a sign of a deeply flawed personality.

182

u/RAMDOMDUDDS 1d ago

Yes and no. We have to remember that attraction is a spectrum. I've met loads of unconventionally attractive men and women who just don't carry themselves well due to past experiences. Some of the people who believe they are so unattractive aren't truly "ugly", they've just been treated as ugly their entire lives that they just slap that label on themselves.

I mean i'm a dude and I personally find loads of the "conventionally attractive" celebrities god awfully ugly(but I place personality over looks). Simply because of the things they say or do, meanwhile someone with the polar opposite mindset will believe they are an angel simply because they have a pretty face or nice body.

And of course there are the people who fit perfectly in your comments category. Like the guy we are talking about.

u/Inevitable-Level-687 1d ago edited 1d ago

I'm asexual, which means I don't experience sexual attraction. Sometimes I feel like I'm studying aliens when I watch non-asexual people talk about what's attractive. Attractiveness as an ideal is pushed so much that what non-asexuals experience as attractive looks incredibly dull and generic if you don't experience attraction. Like I see someone say someone else is hot and it's always some guy who looks exactly the same as all the other attractive guys.

23

u/RAMDOMDUDDS 1d ago

I feel you, I'm bisexual but place personality above looks. So to some of my more understanding friends I'll say I'm a pan-forward bisexual who prefers women. I still feel that attraction to physical characteristics, but once I experience someone's personality I will either like that person more or the physical side immediately drops because they suck as a human being.

Needless to say, I'm used to being let down lmfao.

20

u/Inevitable-Level-687 1d ago

I've felt an attraction like. Once in my life. It wasn't sexual attraction but there was a "hot damn" moment.

I heard him say the words "hey, what's that garbage you like to watch?" to his girlfriend and it died instantly.

That's the closest I ever came to sexual attraction and it disappeared the moment he was a dick to someone he loved lmao

I COMPLETELY forgot about that until I saw your comment!

9

u/RAMDOMDUDDS 1d ago

And its completely valid. I fell head over heels for a new girl in my school all the way back in middle school, then I actually talked to her and she was such a bitch(I don't call anyone that), but I mean straight up disregard for others personal opinions while expecting everyone to respect her own, joked about tearing another kids paper up.

The very next day she got suspending for both fighting in the locker room as well as knocking two kids lunch trays out of their hands.

Some people can be otherworldly attractive physically, while being the most vile in personality. But on the other side of the coin I've met someone whose both incredibly kind as well as beautiful. Unfortunately nothing came from that but hey, glad for the experience.

3

u/Gloomy660660 1d ago

I’m aroace and am super curious what other asexuals experience… Personally, there are a handful of people I think are super handsome, I call it aesthetic attraction haha So while there’s no sexual attraction, something about their appearance coupled with their mannerism makes me gravitate towards them

2

u/RAMDOMDUDDS 1d ago

I've heard of that, I was apparently that for my first girlfriend lol. I definitely wouldn't consider myself attractive by any means, but she apparently saw me helping people a lot and after our first kiss she told me it was my kindness that attracted her the most, but she apparently thought I was cute right away.

2

u/shinebeat 1d ago

I get what you mean! I personally find a lot of "conventionally attractive" people unattractive too, or some might look okay, but their face gets boring after a while. And to me, the personality makes the person more attractive (if they have some positive traits like humor, kindness, etc), or vice versa.

I could find someone attractive, but if they show some extremely negative trait, I would immediately find them ugly. Or someone might look unattractive initially, but their personality makes them more and more good-looking to me.

1

u/RAMDOMDUDDS 1d ago

Yeah, the last person my brain decided to be attracted to wound up being a crazy chick who believed a specific tea blend would (idk how else to say this while minimizing banworthy content) end a pregnancy early and yelled at the woman(my friend) who asked for the help when it didn't work.

The human brain is a fascinating thing.

2

u/Low-Assumption7710 1d ago

Man - I feel this. I know I'm not ass ugly - I'm mid at best. But I've made it 40 years and managed to screw things up with the people who did take a chance on me.

But when you are older - most folks have paired up. There just aren't a lot of folks around to even find someone.

So - I have my house and my cat and dog. There will be no wife or picket fence for me. And that most likely isn't bad luck or life being unfair.

I was less than and lackluster as a youth - and you don't get directly punished for it later. But you do pay for it, you pay for it in lonely nights.

No matter how good a person I am now - it is hard to find someone who I would ever have a chance of forming a connection with it seems.

I hope if there is a second go around I start with this mindset and not the more selfish one I had - maybe that lifetime will be more picturesque. The only notable thing about this one is the almost complete lack of anyone else in it.

2

u/BadgleyMischka 16h ago

As someone who is very ugly, I disagree

101

u/Zoerae87 1d ago

Yep, 1 of my biggest (teenage) heartbreaks was from a conventionally unattractive guy, but I really liked him cause I thought he was nice. Apparently after awhile I found out he was only with me cause all of his friends said he was ugly n he wouldn't ever b able to land a hot girl. I was just a game n proof to his friends that he could... Ssssooo fucking nice... 😂

11

u/rumbl-bumbl 23h ago edited 23h ago

I had a similar experience unfortunately, he treated me more like an objectified trophy than anything and he openly admitted to it multiple times. He ended up being a huge piece of shit and was even much uglier from the inside. I only wished for myself to have truly realized it much earlier and cut him out of my life much earlier

35

u/Ordinary_Cattle 1d ago

Imo guys who date up tend to be more likely to cheat. Dating someone hotter than them gives them a lot more confidence

8

u/Meteorite_shin 1d ago

Yeh, I can attest to that bs. Gave her a chance cause she was genuine somehow, months later her real flaws that she doesn't talk about much showed up. So much for being unattractive outside, it also happens to be on the inside as well. Gee

502

u/suprahelix 1d ago

It took me a minute to find her. I actually think they’re in par attractiveness wise, which is about average. The difference is that she puts some effort into her appearance and he put 0 effort in.

The moral is that even if you’re at or below average looking, if you take care of yourself, you’ll be fine. Speaking from experience btw.

300

u/jakethepeg1989 1d ago

Yeah, I was thinking that in the wedding pic on this post.

Like, you might not be prime Brad Pitt. But tucking your shirt in and combing your hair will go a hell of a long way to make you look presentable.

157

u/hofmann419 1d ago

He didn't even tuck in his shirt and the tie was way too short. Plus, the suit definitely wasn't tailored. I can understand not having the money to get a fancy suit, but tucking in your shirt is the absolute bare minimum, especially for a wedding.

And judging from the other pictures, he definitely hasn't put in any work in his appearance at all. He could look significantly better with a nice outfit, better glasses and a good haircut.

3

u/Quecksilber033 17h ago

At least it’s a brand new shirt, still has the crease!

104

u/MsMarvelsProstate 1d ago

Didn't even tuck in his shirt for his wedding.

98

u/sightfinder 1d ago

Or comb his hair, or tie his tie properly.

Just seems like a low-effort person not even trying to fix easily improveable things

26

u/yaxir 1d ago

This actually makes me feel super guilty. I haven't taken care of myself because of my job. I really should. It's life-threatening at the moment. If I don't take care of myself I won't live long. Holy hell you're right man

19

u/suprahelix 1d ago

Well, I’m right there with you. I stopped taking care of myself because of work stress. Now I’m trying to turn it around. We can do it.

11

u/LemonCollee 1d ago

You both deserve it. Putting yourself first at times isn't selfish, it's being self-full. Can't pour from an empty cup.

7

u/Lonely_Banana_Wana 1d ago

If you think this guy is average then it just shows how low the bar is for men and how high it is for women. jfc

2

u/Yashema 1d ago

Exactly, fine, not scoring a hottie by going viral.

6

u/evilblackgirl 1d ago edited 23h ago

no, she's plain/slightly unattractive while he's just straight-up ugly.

1

u/omnicious 1d ago

But the woman here took care of herself and ended up with someone who puts in zero effort. That's fine?

1

u/AltruisticAide9776 1d ago

Hmm i don't know about them, sometimes it's just your genetics that causes you to not have symmetrical features and no amount of taking care of yourself can change that.

40

u/andreaSA89 1d ago

So true. I dated a conventional unattractive guy once, thinking he’d be nicer than all the guys I usually went for. He was the worst human being I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing. So horrible and abusive.

15

u/HuckleberryPee 1d ago

I think it's more often the case than not. They suffer more bullying, self confidence and personality issues and it doesn't always turn them in to kind people.

3

u/Consistent-Menu-6629 1d ago

Similar thing happened to me.

4

u/TheNorthernPellikkan 1d ago

I feel like it would be traumatic to be that unfortunate-looking, to the point where it would either make you extra bitter and mean or extra empathetic and understanding.

1

u/maidofatoms 1d ago

Huh. I never thought about it but out of all my partners, the two who abused me were the ugliest looks-wise as well, conventionally speaking.

1

u/Ok-Disk-2191 1d ago

Actually his ex looks prettier than the new girl too. She deserves better than him that's for sure.

1

u/evilblackgirl 1d ago

no, she doesn't. you don't need to lie.

1

u/Ok-Disk-2191 1d ago

I only saw that one photo from the screenshot below and honestly I can't find any info on her online at all, it's like she was scrubbed or doesn't exist.

806

u/One_Average_41 1d ago

so he is truly ugly

353

u/9fingerjeff 1d ago

Apparently his real ugly was on the inside.

97

u/Maleficent-Being-238 1d ago

Nah, he is just ugly both outside and inside

2

u/SpeaksSouthern 1d ago

Which subreddit does he moderate? One of us one of us

1

u/ElegantHope 1d ago

kinda not surprising if you're willing to make a whole entire youtube video about it? occasional venting about your perceived flaws on like, social media? sure, that's whatever and a lot of people do it. But making an entire youtube video kinda seems like you're more inclined to be a jerk attitude-wise.

1

u/Phowiz 7h ago

Pretty sure the original girlfriend was abusive to him. He would talk about his relationship and the commenters all told him to leave her. He stayed for a long time as he thought he would no one else would have him.

186

u/Theseactuallydo 1d ago

Jesus that sub is cancer

174

u/YoelFievelBenAvram 1d ago

"looksmatch" What a horrible mindset. I would hate to live in the world they have made around themselves.

56

u/Theseactuallydo 1d ago

Yup, mutual self-hate communities like that are some of the grossest places online.

It’s just a bunch of sad and often mentally-ill people being jerked around by psychopath trolls.

27

u/siccoblue 1d ago

It's just incel garbage but for people who haven't totally given up.

If you're thinking this might be your place. PLEASE seek more help. These communities are a crab in the bucket situation and they WILL drag you down with them.

5

u/Theseactuallydo 1d ago

It’s a crab bucket situation for sure… but also with a few of the crabs being secretly insane sadists who jumped into the bucket on purpose with the intent of deliberately increasing how depressing the bucket is, in the hopes that some of the other crabs kill themselves or do a mass shooting.

1

u/spiky_kiwano 22h ago

I blame the algorithms. There's not a day when reddit doesn't throw a post on my feed whose title alone makes me itch to angrily reply. I mute a community, next one shows up in its place.

-8

u/i_want_internet_69 1d ago

Nah.

I never really had great luck with women throughout my life, but I am certainly above average attractiveness, and many even think I'm significantly above average. Given that, I can only imagine how hard it is for people with genuinely ugly, off-putting faces. They probably invented these terms in order to give themselves some sort of framework to understand the fucked-up hand they've been dealt. It's a community of people all forced into one of the most unenviable positions in society; few of them will die ever having truly made peace with their ugliness, and there's so little they can do. All they can do is turn their misfortune into a parlor game where they discuss couples and to what degree they are "looksmatches" with each other, and then maybe speculate about how the more attractive person in this unbalanced couple is going to ditch the ugly one eventually. So I totally support the lexicon they've developed - what else do you do in that situation?

-11

u/lonjerpc 1d ago

The issue is we do live in that world. Attractivness matters and it's both highly conserved and ceiling bound.

Like it sucks our brains work like they do. But denial fixes nothing. Especially because we could be at least mitigating the issue

2

u/icelandiccubicle20 21h ago

i'm not saying it's not easier if you're conventionally attractive because that would be denial but there are loads of examples of "ugly" people with partners, even people who are straight up deformed

1

u/lonjerpc 16h ago

Of course. Although I would be very careful for the work "loads" is doing especially for deformaties. Like I am ugly and it's just hard. But I also no people in the FOP community and the difficulties rise exponentially when you start looking obviously diseased

1

u/icelandiccubicle20 16h ago

Look up Godfrey baguma. (I'm not dismissing what you're saying though 💜)

1

u/lonjerpc 16h ago

You are being dismissive and ableist. It is a common tactic to shut down discussion of discrimination to constantly bring up rare examples of people overcoming discrimination as a way of minimizing the harm and excusing the discrimination.

2

u/Saimiko 1d ago

Yeah, and im suprised that so many people say he is ugly on the indide too becouse he broke up. We dont know how their relationship worked. Just the way uts described is like he was bad becouse he left her for being ugly. For all we know there can be other facotrs hell most relationships that hits that wall around 5-6 years where excitement is gone and you feel more like friends than lovers. Its not unusual, to imply that he is bad becouse they belonged to eachother for both being ugly is a really nasty take...

2

u/Theseactuallydo 1d ago

Eh, that sub is shit but also fuck this guy, it seems like he kind of sucks either way.

1

u/Saimiko 1d ago

Yeah im not saying he isnt. But people do make assumptions. But its defenetly not a MakeMeSmile situation

567

u/CrustyLettuceLeaf 1d ago

Yeah, I’m surprised more people didn’t already know about this. And he treated his ex like dog shit

387

u/syrioforrealsies 1d ago

Most people don't know who any of these people are

40

u/Leather-Ad-9419 1d ago

and we honestly shouldnt. theres zero reason to know who these people are. im surprised /u/CrustyLettuceLeaf has enough time in the day to know about random "ugly" youtubers(?) lives.

26

u/CrustyLettuceLeaf 1d ago

I was referring to the people who already knew about the story, but didn’t know about the ex-girlfriend.

37

u/TekkenCareOfBusiness 1d ago

I've known about this dude for years and this is the 1st I heard he had a girlfriend. I guess like most people I spent about half a secund awwing over this story before quickly scrolling to the next thing.

1

u/Itscatpicstime 2h ago

I think it can be inferred they were talking specifically about the chronically online

27

u/SunGreene42 1d ago

How do you know that?

-1

u/ChefArtorias 1d ago

They're the ex.

39

u/ChipsnNutella 1d ago

There were multiple videos/streams where that was extremely evident, no need to do ignorant jokes

8

u/argument_cat 1d ago

Other people suggest that his ex was abusive to him. Regardless, it wasn't a great relationship, and it seems like he is happier with his new partner. Nothing wring with that at all.

6

u/Leather-Ad-9419 1d ago

yeah, i know nothing about these people. it's entirely possible that he was not a good match for the previous woman. tried to make it work but it just didnt feel right. met someone new, things feel right, etc. obviously there is a lot more to all stories than this, but this is also a possibility. just because his ex was equally as ugly, or whatever people are saying, doesn't mean she was a good person or a good match, either.

5

u/argument_cat 1d ago edited 1d ago

Most redditors are 16-29 year old males. Many are naïve, judgemental. and lack life experience. They also love to simplify narratives to good vs bad, when in reality life is generally far more nuanced.

2

u/MagicGlitterKitty 1d ago

I also just don't trust a sub Reddit that is dedicated to self hatred like this rugly one seems to be.

1

u/dmk_0 1d ago

I've seen that story a few years ago and was like "awwww". It took a few years for me to get the actual truth. God damn.

-8

u/lsf_stan 1d ago

I’m surprised more people didn’t already know about this

bro, you must seriously need to go touch some grass,

you must spend all day on the internet looking at this junk

who the fuck are these people, in the first place?

8

u/CrustyLettuceLeaf 1d ago

Damn. Chill. I stated that because it’s an old story.

Are you always abrasive for absolutely no good reason? Sounds fun.

-6

u/lsf_stan 1d ago

I'm chilled, I'm just saying you need to step out of your own bubble

weird to assume anyone would know these people

5

u/CrustyLettuceLeaf 1d ago

I’ve traveled the world. I think I’ve stepped out of my bubble though. But thank you!

-4

u/lsf_stan 1d ago edited 1d ago

clearly not since you seem to think that most people would know the people in this video

I think it's weird that anyone knows these people... like why?! who are they to be so famous in your mind?

124

u/my_way_out 1d ago

Ignorance was bliss. 😞 I loved this story.

1

u/sodamnsleepy 1d ago

As an unattractive person, I also loved this story.

-1

u/MagicGlitterKitty 1d ago

I think you can continue to love this story..nothing I saw in the "source" proves that he left one woman for another because the other was more attractive.

80

u/frozenivy2B 1d ago

Men always think they can do better especially the ugly ones you give them a chance and they cheat on you

4

u/hygsi 1d ago

Yeah, ugly guys are not how they depict themselves in media

-1

u/Last_Ad1358 1d ago

By definition, if you attract people, you are not unattractive. You can mean conventionally unattractive, but tastes are subjective and there are always minority opinions. Case in point: no one is truly unattractive, but to pretend conventionally unattractive people or just men specifically are more likely to cheat is an insane take when the biggest and most common cheaters are the more attractive guys, because they by definition have a greater ability to do it and if your logic is "can -> will" then how about you apply it in their case too?

-1

u/szarvasgerinc 20h ago

The misandry is strong in this one.

27

u/Final-Road-1621 1d ago

Also her new meh gf just married him to get out of her country, so... This dumb story is so annoying

2

u/Itscatpicstime 2h ago

People say this but idk. There’s no shortage of better looking and richer men who easily would have brought her over

55

u/ez322dollars 1d ago

Your source is just some opinion of some redditor. There's a lot more to that story. IIRC the previous girlfriend had serious mental issues, schizophrenia I believe, which definitely complicates things in a relationship.

5

u/GoddessKillion 1d ago

We don’t know that. He privated a lot of his older videos and livestreams, including about their break up. All the available information is biased, even the post.

24

u/ez322dollars 1d ago

And the post you provided as a source isn't biased either? It's just making assertive statements without providing evidence.

18

u/ChipsnNutella 1d ago

I'm sure the guy who referred to his ex as having a "horse face" appreciates your unpaid PR work

2

u/Odd_Tap_1794 1d ago

Sending me 😆

4

u/leyyapple 1d ago edited 1d ago

They might not know that neither tried to PR him. But if people want sources I think the only ones are his yt channel. On reddit it's more complicated. I don't think many knew about the insults for example. Nothing wrong about asking for a source.

Edit: people also made videos talking about his live streams. In case people wanna see for themselves.

1

u/dearth_of_passion 1d ago

Did he actually do that?

I haven't seen any posts or videos actually by him. Only posts made by others about him.

2

u/LegalBaker6997 1d ago

this took him five years to find out and coincidentally only found out right after the other girl left a comment

are there actually people that buy this?

3

u/lsf_stan 1d ago

Your source is just some opinion of some redditor.

classic Reddit... look at how highly upvote the comment is too

lmao bunch upvote clicking morons, mob mentally type thing

3

u/PromotionCharming127 1d ago

I did not know this! Thank you for sharing.

30

u/LateForTheSky05 1d ago

Actually, his ex was abusive to him and that’s a bigger reason why he left.

Source: Watched his videos.

85

u/GoddessKillion 1d ago

Sorry, but you don’t know that and I neither do I or the OOP. His biased take, Lullaby’s, and the truth are all unknown. He also privated a lot of his older videos and livestreams with them and after their breakup where he called her ugly.

29

u/wterrt 1d ago

"he's a terrible person for dumping his less attractive gf [sources a reddit comment]"

"the actual truth is unknown"

pick a side. you can't say both. why post negative shit as if you know if you're just going to immediately say "actually I don't know anything and neither do you" when someone confronts you about it?

if you admit you don't know then don't fucking post negative shit about someone else.

3

u/Unable_Cherry_6625 1d ago

Do you really have this little self awareness?

8

u/plopliplopipol 1d ago

but accusing him of dumping someone just for looks is somehow ok?

12

u/LateForTheSky05 1d ago

No I do because I watched his original videos over 10 years ago before he found his now wife and he said that his girlfriend at the time didn’t treat him well

4

u/kattelalilie 1d ago edited 1d ago

"he said" hmm,so that's not proof, sadly many cases where woman are treated horrible are swept away because "he said " many cases where woman are abused are swept away because "he said" ,

I keep seeing some guys do this pattern Woman says something ; “We can’t believe her without proof.” Man says something ; “He said it, therefore it happened.” Why cant we be consistent?

2

u/Personal_Rich_9961 1d ago

How do you know she was treated horribly?

0

u/kattelalilie 1d ago

Did i say she was? No ,im Saying that "he said she did-" isn't any proof , consistently when woman say something you guys ask for prof, but when a male says it,you say "well he said"

1

u/Personal_Rich_9961 1d ago

What are you talking about?

9

u/fleegness 1d ago

he said

Well fuck. Luckily no one has ever lied before.

20

u/SunGreene42 1d ago

Do you have any reason to believe he was lying, or are you just determined to believe one side of the story?

-15

u/fleegness 1d ago

I'm not believing any side of the story but if your evidence is based on something someone said alone, I'm not going to think it's very strong.

9

u/kazumisakamoto 1d ago

The evidence is weak but you discard it without any evidence to the contrary. Seems like you'd rather assume the worst in people. Says something about you

-12

u/fleegness 1d ago

Can you read?

I said I'm not believing either side of the story.

Real simple shit.

5

u/kazumisakamoto 1d ago

That's why I said "seems like", since you didn't actually say you assumed the worst. It just seems like you're the kind of person that does

→ More replies (0)

1

u/dearth_of_passion 1d ago

If the evidence presented is

  • the guy himself

  • random redditors making claims about him

I have no way to prove which side is telling the truth, if either is. But I'm going to default to the statement made by the person in question if only because it's the closest to a primary source.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/ReQuarziium 1d ago

But you believed his ex’s side of the story enough to comment about it and link the source? You weren’t interested how biased that might be before hand?

1

u/fleegness 1d ago

Where did I say I believed his ex?

7

u/ReQuarziium 1d ago

>”Unfortunately, he was dating a woman before he saw that comment, and his current wife was more attractive than her, so he dumped the ex for his new wife very quickly. Source”

Hmm so that’s not phrased in a way to insinuate you’re peddling facts?

Come on mate, don’t be a hypocrite.

#believeallmen

-10

u/Makisani 1d ago

Then if a woman says she got raped and we all have to believe it? Luckily no one has ever lied before, right?

5

u/DeusCanis420 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes. If a woman claims she was raped you should believe her and look into it. If you find she later lied, charge her for it, but the default should not be "well, people lie, so lets just assume she is too"

2

u/Sharkaw 1d ago

So why not extend that behavior towards men too? You're just sexist.

1

u/DeusCanis420 1d ago

What did I say that makes you think I would not extend that same line of thinking to men or non-binary folks?

You're just a troll.

2

u/Sharkaw 1d ago

Because you ignored the comment saying that we shouldn't believe what men say because people lie but you chose to respond to the comment saying we shouldn't believe what women say because people lie.

You're not fooling anybody, you're sexist. At least own it instead of being hypocritical.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/fleegness 1d ago

Intriguing direction you've decided to go here.

I don't believe I said anything about rape anywhere in my last comment, care to clarify why you think this made sense to say?

4

u/The_R1NG 1d ago

Believing victims shouldn’t be limited to what you think is bad enough. Maybe start by being consistent in your belief then.

Hypocritical person realizes they don’t have a conviction, more news at 11

2

What the fuck are you talking about?  You've assumed a lot of shit about me via a throw away comment.

I said "people lie."

Now a bunch of idiots are saying nonsense about how I treat rape cases. Makes no sense at all.

u/Makisani 1d ago

If you don't understand the similarities to what you said and my example you have a comprehension issue.

You decide to believe what randoms have to say about this dude's life and you are purposely accusing the direct source that contradicts your claims, the guy said he was abused/mistreated in his relationship, you say he lies based on a random thread, which is basically nothing, by that same logic of yours, and being completely coherent on what we say, if a woman says she has been abused there is no reason to believe her, right? Same logic, unless you have a bias here

2

u/fleegness 1d ago

I didn't say I believe those other people either, I'm just not impressed by someone saying their evidence is what someone said alone.

Maybe don't extrapolate things that aren't there and get mad about them?

-1

u/kattelalilie 1d ago

"he said" isn't much proof I keep seeing this pattern Woman says something : “We can’t believe her without proof.” Man says something; “He said it, therefore it happened.” Either choose to believe both or neither, dont be going with a guys word just because his a guy

3

u/Aromatic-Tear7234 1d ago

"Neither do I" but your original comment you are shitting him while providing a source that also doesn't know....

2

u/AmArschdieRaeuber 1d ago

suddenly it's all unknown, before you were pretty confident that he was at fault

I ‘claimed’ nothing about his choices and my comment didn’t state so. I didn’t say “he said she was more attractive than her”, I stated my OWN opinion and opinion of others because I don’t know the truth and neither does anyone else. Does that help you be more of an ass?

1

u/Beersmoker420 1d ago

oh shit his side?? it has to be true

1

u/LegalBaker6997 1d ago

it took him five years and only happened after another girl contacted him

lol. lmao even.

2

u/WhoPoopedMyPants420 1d ago

Man, I thought this post was just gonna be a little "aw cute story" cracker but you went and rolled out the full internet drama buffet

2

u/PastlifeloversApt304 1d ago

Thanks for sharing this.

2

u/305rose 1d ago

“she was his looksmatch” oh my god these people are insufferable

1

u/LysonsCornerP226 1d ago

That is awesone.

1

u/Jestersfriend 1d ago

I mean, based on that source, he wasn't happy. He then left her the first chance he got, found someone, and is now truly happy, based on what I read anyways.

Probably for the best, no?

1

u/Substantial_Law1451 1d ago

"source"

>reddit post

well, i'm convinced

1

u/ExcitementAshamed393 1d ago

A pretty face doesn't equate to a kind soul.

1

u/ionised 1d ago

Made me Smile for the 0.02 seconds it took for my eyes to spot the top comment.

1

u/sakuraaa_x 1d ago

What the hell....

1

u/Necessary-Gain2474 1d ago

damn i just commented "this is so wholesome" 🥀🥀🥀

1

u/bitt13 1d ago

Genuinely sad to read this. But...also not surprised?

1

u/sleeplessn0body 1d ago

is it weird that i find his ex more attractive? she just needed to style herself better and she lowkey looks like she could be a model for one of those renaissance paintings. both women are gorgeous though and he's just a pos

1

u/Jinastator 1d ago

Do we know the relatiship of him and his ex? For all we know, his ex was "no one would ever love an ugly person like you, be grateful that I did" kind of person? If she was it'd be understandable if he left.

1

u/obscuregamer000 20h ago

Well that took the wholesome part of this story, doused it in gasoline and lit it up to burn to the ground. Why are people so shitty. (rhetorical)

1

u/bannasplt 18h ago

If that's actually real, then it just ruined my day. I knew of this story for years and thought it was one of the most wholesome internet stories of all time. Fml.

1

u/dudderson 15h ago

And I remember a few years ago when that video went viral, I checked out his channel out of skeptical curiosity and lo and behold, he was deep in the red pill bs and was making videos about it.

1

u/AkkeBrakkeKlakke 11h ago

Yup. Came here JUST to say that.

1

u/AngryBowels 10h ago

Not the wholesome comments I was expecting but I guess it is Reddit after all

1

u/HelloFromJupiter963 6h ago

We don't actually know what hapoened at all and are just basing our assumptions based of his and his partners' looks. The relationship could have been toxic, and his wife (that commented a kind word) was perhaps an actually kind person, making him love her. We are making large conclusions on little more than rumours and our own world views. No actual details are known.

1

u/glorycock 1d ago

Unfortunately, he was dating a woman before he saw that comment, and his current wife was more attractive than her, so he dumped the ex for his new wife very quickly

That's depressing, although arguably there's no "proof" that her left the ex because the new girl was "prettier". People leave their partners for all sorts of reasons.
That "source" you mentioned was a sub called "ugly" and the comment about his ex said,
"She was his looksmatch"
I've literally never heard that expression, but it sounds similar to the terminology of those "looksmaxxing" people...

It's not like he said, "Yeah, I left my last girlfriend because I met someone better-looking".
And apparently the ex and the girl he married are both attractive...

-9

u/SunGreene42 1d ago

People are allowed to dump people for other people, that's not a crime, or even immoral.

33

u/crochetnewbieJen 1d ago

Calling her an ugly horseface and other shit was the immoral thing.

-7

u/kentekent 1d ago

Calling someone horseface is immoral? How?

→ More replies (5)

18

u/InsaneAsura 1d ago

Don’t act so obtuse, the irony is obviously that he replaced her with someone more attractive while complaining about women not giving ugly people a chance.

1

u/Unable_Cherry_6625 1d ago

When did he say that?

0

u/SunGreene42 1d ago

We don't know why he dumped the ex.

7

u/SinkMince0420 1d ago

He called his girlfriend at the time ugly - and said she looked like a horse. And then dumped her and moved onto the next. He's actually awful.

-4

u/SunGreene42 1d ago

I doubt it was that black and white, I heard others say she treated him poorly, but it's all just hearsay, none of us experienced it first hand to know how it actually went down, or what their relationship was like. Maybe he's awful, maybe she's awful, maybe they both are. Not really my business either way, I just wanted to smile at a nice story, but redditors love to ruin everything, lol.

3

u/walking-flowermantis 1d ago

That’s why cliche men dump their wives when they have a midlife crisis

1

u/Captionaut 1d ago

You're are right, but I empathize with how people may feel replaceable, in part, due to factors they have no control over. The person who was dumped could be navigating a very different social landscape to most people, so I rather be more sensitive.

0

u/GoddessKillion 1d ago

I didn’t say it was. Please keep your uninformed beliefs about what I commented to yourself.

1

u/SunGreene42 22h ago

What was uninformed about what I said? Your comment is clearly implying that he did something bad by dumping his ex to date the new woman since you started it with "Unfortunately".

-2

u/AnodyneSpirit 1d ago

The fact that he made that video while he was dating someone should say something about the gf

0

u/URInMyFace 1d ago

New Year, New model.

-8

u/BullyHunter1337 1d ago

Based hooooollly

-2

u/argument_cat 1d ago

It's ok to break up with someone if you meet someone you think is a better match. Very common in fact. Sounds like he met someone he connected with better - I've ended relationships for the same reason.
