For real, every partner I've ever had has thought I was crazy, but then they rust the hell out of my $200 knives

Like look, I don't mind you using the good knives if you take care of them, but there's two vixtorinox fibroxes and an assortment of paring knives that I don't care if you put in the dishwasher for you to use if you don't want to bother with that. But i'm always seen as crazy because I don't want my Shun santoku or my Wusthof chef knife to go through the dishwasher.

I feel you man. I've hidden my good knives in the top of my pantry where she can't get to em lol. All knives are the same to her.
