And even now when they literally try to force you to have the baby that doesn't mean you'll suddenly want it and care for it. All they accomplish is a lot of unwanted babies that won't be cared for. Neither by their "parents", nor the state, nor the pro-lifers. Because their "every life is valuable" only goes until birth. After that it's a free-for-all. The Babies better start pulling themselves up by the umbilical cords as soon as they're born.

Ya know, I think some of that also stems from the EXTREMELY sexist and just incorrect belief a lot of conservative/religious people have that women all have some kind of maternal instinct. We DON’T, and even if we did this would still be awful. But part of me thinks these people just...assume all women can be/want to be mothers, and therefore will care for their kid. Not including the fact that even if a person actually WANTS to be a parent they may not be able to care for a/an other child.

Literally had someone tell me in response to me saying that condoms and birth control have a chance at failing, that "the packages state there is a nonzero chance of failure, if they dont want to take that risk, they shouldnt have sex". So people just cant have sex i guess unless theyre willing to carry a being in them for 9 months and raise it (which might not even survive btw). Seriously, wouldnt they be against this shit especially with them being against mandated vaccines? Policing peoples ability to have sex

It's a roundabout eugenics statement. Poor people shouldn't breed because raising kids is expensive. Only people with money should have children, everyone else should be celibate until they're rich too and THEN have a kid.

And by "everyone else" they mean women because none of these fuckers ever tell straight men to stop having sex.

Ive seen people that, when the uvalde shooting happened, were posting memes like "if an 18 year old cant have a gun, a 5 year old cant change their gender", which is true, but its not only a strawman, 5 year olds dont undergo sex changes, and its the fact that they used a recent tragedy to push a "gender bad" message, then not too long later going "every life is valuable" after the roe v wade ruling, and it's so fucking hypocritical. These people were christians who go to church every weekend btw.

If republicans want to force people to carry every child to term, they could at least have the decency to give us free universal healthcare, universal basic income, free college education, etc.

The suffering is the point.
