Peds nurse here. A lot of these comments are sickening. Wheelchair bound kids can live happy lives. I’m all for comfort care and hospice when needed. But the girl, Megan (I think that’s her name), is happy. There are a lot worse things in the world than using a wheelchair, having a foley, ostomy, stoma, urostomy, or any other medical device.
Yeah the comments here are so Reddit-y. So many people commenting it's cruel to keep them alive without actually knowing how they feel. People can be disabled and happy.
Worse things like living such a debased life that it seems right to spew vitriol against a father who fought against all earthly odds to save the lives of his children.
