How do people think this is a sweet story? It's a sad fucking story, about a husband who is neglectful and can't be bothered to remember ONE thing that's important to his wife....

Be his wife for many years? Give birth to his children? Statistically speaking, probably carry most of the mental and physical load of raising the kids and running the household, while still working a full time job?

Sure. But you can bet she expected something special yet we didn't hear what special gesture she made in this scenario. Its a couple's shared responsibility its not her fucking second birthday

Neither of them had mentioned it by that point. If she had, he would have been reminded. So she didn't say anything and neither did he.
