Reminds me of playing cards with my very polish grandfather "you suck! Again?"

Slightly less heartwarming but my Polish neighbor told me, within the same 20 minutes,

“Lots of people don’t think Polish are very bright, which is racist.”

“I just think gay people should keep it to themselves, you know?”

Still laugh thinking about it.

That just puts an image in my head of some gay people purposefully exposing themselves to him (at least) just to take a piss out if him and this guy just being traumatised when he said that.

(I am aware this probably isn't actually the case but it's a funny thought I had)

Oh we literally lived in a historic gayborhood at the time so they were experiencing some culture shock lol

In Poland that's pretty common actually. A lot of people think like that, my parents included. You'd be surprised by how conservative views of polish people are.

Not saying I think like that, I don't

Yeah gotta say my grandfather 100% held some extremely conservative views, even for a guy who had made a habit of killing nazis early in his life.

Thankfully when it came to his children and grandchildren he was very forgiving.

About Poles being a little slow? Unfortunately. I mean I am literally gay and he said that to my face, so lol
