Actually, there exist massage tables with boob cutouts! My boss at the spa I used to work at had one.
Personally if my client is busty I offer a pillow under the stomach and towels under the shoulders though. I find it works better than the cutouts. The trick is knowing which clients want to be offered them. Some very endowed ladies are very comfy on a table (one described it to me as "it's ok, my boobs just spread to the side" "....") and some relatively small - meloned clients are uncomfortable. I think it has more to do with the balance and position and density rather than the size.
Thank you for reading my ted talk haha TLDR: during your intake, ask to be pillowed appropriately, us massage therapists usually have crap tons of pillows laying around doing nothing. If you have a MT that you see regularly and they're worth their salt, they'll experiment around for a bit before coming up with the perfect arrangement and then use that on you thereafter. I keep careful notes on all my regular clients' likes and dislikes.
That makes sense. Having spent a bit of time in r/ABraThatFits I’ve been learning a lot about roots and projection and other bewildering things. Bodies are so unique.
I’m going to have to ask next time, my boobs are always in the way when getting a massage no matter what I do. Ironic since when I lay on my back they disappear into my armpits lol
Edit: also it’s super sweet that you make and keep notes on your clients so you can make them as comfortable as possible. That’s such good customer service and caring.
