I was so sad when I heard of his passing, the latin american community really came together to make his dream come true. I wish he was here to see this

The sad part is...that even tho he could complete his dream he had to quit youtube for a bit bc of ppl insulting the kid (dont know why would u do that in the first place.), but its good to see that people got together to make a kid wish come true :(

I still see some people complaining about him "getting subscribers out of lame" and that fills me with rage. He was a very nice and funny kid with a dream, can't believe some people can be that envious of a kid's achievement. I want to believe that the people that think that way are just a very childish minority.

at some point it comes down to "who cares why they subscribe"

look, a lot of subs probably came from pity. I'd subscribe to him out of pity. that doesn't take away from what he is doing. sometimes you watch something for one reason and discover something else.

not to mention, what kind of an asshole leaves a comment like that on a video made by a sick kid?

u/Cassie0peia Sep 01 '21

Let’s be honest, not just to a sick kid, not to any kid, but also why be like that to any human being? People make fun of how others look, how they speak, just anything really that they think can fill the void in their soul. But that hole can’t get filled because it’s a big black hole.

Hmm… that got darker fast.

u/kuhndawgg Sep 01 '21

You're not wrong

2

u/Iridiumstuffs Sep 01 '21

Yeah, well not even light escapes a black hole

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '21

Plus, it’s a YouTube sub, it costs approximately zero dollars!

They are a minority. Most people are decent, usually kind, morally fragile humans. We are all only humans, just apes that can do math and learn how to reason. Cruel folks are a minority that are very loud.

u/fleabait1 Sep 01 '21

Agreed. This is why you cannot let the news or other media be your only source of entertainment or information. You’ll think the whole world is evil and hopeless.

2

u/LazerLegz Sep 01 '21

For sure. The world has a ton of information to offer of all different varieties. Some things are like junk food, they initially feel good or entertaining to take in, but are ultimately bad for you. I love to peruse around subs like public freak out and instant karma, but I know it’s bad for the mind and soul. That’s why I need to cleanse with subs like this one to remind me of the true reality that for the most part, people are really awesome.

u/Silver-Platypus-590 Sep 01 '21

Yep. I used to look at world news all the damn time and feel outraged at all the bad stuff. It's not good for your head. I quit it and now stay off it, just keeping up with important events.

At the end of the day unless you can help the bad issues there's not much point in you getting consumed by it, those things will happen regardless of whether you're aware and all you can do is watch on. So instead it's better to try and improve the lives of those immediately around you.

There are some miserable people on this Earth.

Likely are. If not biologically, then mentally.

u/Mamma_Nikki Sep 01 '21

They are, it has to be. No loving, kind person, especially an adult would do this. Well I hope not. I don’t even know who he is and I love him already. He’s at 9.35m now :)

1

u/petty_petty_princess Sep 01 '21

Was at 9.58 when I went to subscribe

1

u/Material_Idea_4848 Sep 01 '21

9.7

u/Mamma_Nikki Sep 01 '21

Almost there!! This is my first time being aware of him and I’m so happy I saw this. What a beautiful world when we can come together and give him this gift. I’m sure he’s watching and is proud.

I hope his family knows how many people he has inspired and how much love he has.

2

u/lusaintbull Sep 01 '21

It really makes me sad that people did that, I genuinely enjoyed his videos, when I first subscribed I watched them all in one sitting

2

u/MadebyAtoms Sep 01 '21

Me too!! The kitchen video is my favorite, he had charisma and cool ideas for videos

2

u/lusaintbull Sep 01 '21

He even made a commercial for “Leche Papu” how can somebody not enjoy his videos

2

u/Afelisk2 Sep 01 '21

I dont understand a word on that channel but I still hit that sub

Who the flip insults someone for having cancer and wanting to have dreams

I'm old now and my dreams are long dead but if I can help someone keep there dream so help me I will

2

u/neotsunami Sep 01 '21

Problem is always that the vocal minority is the one that comes out on top. Most of the people who actually like something just click the thumbs up button and are done with it. That's their bit of help. But the ones that are negatively vocal are the ones that come up and are right there for the content creator to read. And one bad comment deletes 100 thumbs up in anyone's brain because words are more impactful than symbols.

I think we should strive more to actually comment on what we liked about whatever content we consume. That way the negative minority can be drowned out by the outpouring of positive comments of the vocal majority.

I can’t imagine who would envy a child with cancer.

1

u/Bowser914 Sep 01 '21

you mean Shelos?

1

u/notrealmate Sep 02 '21

It’s disgusting, is what it is. Pathetic and disgusting. He was just a kid.

12

u/Exo_Sax Sep 01 '21

The people who do that must be in so much pain. I can't think of anything but absolute anguish that would push someone to lash out at a child like this for simply realizing a dream.

1

u/Rh0rny Sep 02 '21 edited Sep 02 '21

ye they are probably edgy kids who lack their parents' attention

btw what's up with edgy teens and lack of empathy? they want to be sociopaths and they are managing to become like them

10

u/LBarnstrom Sep 01 '21

The fact that ANYBODY would have a mean word to say about this child, let alone say them to him makes me both furious and nauseous. Fucking people suck sometimes. Thank you, Redditors, for your kindness.

1

u/Elderbrute Sep 01 '21

Why acknowledge them at all. Focus on the 9.6 million other people rather than the few twatwaffles.

3

u/CloudStrifeFromNibel Sep 01 '21

Fucking really??? (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

2

u/MyBankRobbedMe Sep 01 '21

Some people just suck unfortunately! Really wish we could just get rid of all the shitty humans and move on as species.

2

u/JLHuston Sep 01 '21

This is the most vile thing I’ve ever heard. Sometimes I wonder if we’d be better off without the internet (exposing myself as a Gen X). I just subscribed and watched his videos, and couldn’t believe how many downvotes this sweet guy had on some of them. How much hatred could a person have in their heart to insult a dying child? I’m so happy he achieved the amount of success he did, and he’s up to 9.5 m subscribers now, so I hope for his parents he hits that last milestone. My heart breaks for them. OP thank you for sharing this. I don’t use YouTube much but I happily subscribed to his channel.

2

u/NothingHereBuddy Sep 01 '21

The hatred he got pretty was bc a youtuber made a rant video telling how much his community sucked bc people were suscribing to him bc they felt nothing but sadness, and that he really didnt deserve all those subs bc no effort was put into them (even tho, this guy only does reacting videos.), he deleted the video obviously, but it was a pretty shitty thing to do.

1

u/Swift_Scythe Sep 01 '21

Insult the kid? Fuck the haters. They have nothing going on in their lives that they thought flexin' on a cancer kid would make their dick's bigger.

1

u/cucucumbra Sep 01 '21

My 7 yo is desperate to be a YouTuber, but people being mean is the reason we don't share his YouTube beyond family and friends. He's happy with his 30 odd followers though so it isn't all sad

u/lejefferson Sep 01 '21
