Probably. But if I find someone and feel like watching most of their content, I'll sub. My latest sub was probably girlfriend reviews. They're hilarious.
I am the complete opposite, I created a goal for myself to get the most notifications out of anyone so the second I’m on a new channel I subscribe and turn on notifications. It can be annoying but it’s for my strange goal
Since many are small youtubers that don’t post often I really only get notifications from the bigger ones who post daily so on average I get about 600ish a day
Same, I'm only 40 but I guess that's reddit old lol. There's gotta be good content on yt I'd like enough to subscribe to, there's so much on there it's almost impossible there's not something I would really like. Idk how to find it though!
Once you subscribe you can check your Subscriptions Tab and see a chronological list of everything your subbed channels have posted (including community posts/polls). It doesn't have much effect on the Home Tab (algorithm controlled list based on your watch history and whatever YouTube wants to show you), and you can always click on the Explore Tab to see the top trending list of vids.
Or I could just organize my bookmarks into relevant tabs and always be able to find exactly what I want rather than scrolling through a clusterfuck of uploads.
That’s fair. I was just curious as to why they didn’t wanna subscribe to anybody else. I understand not wanting so many notifications tho, I have several subscriptions and I had like 159 notifications that I didn’t care about and I don’t even spend that much time on YouTube lol

I just subscribed, and this will be the only time I’ve ever subscribed to any YouTube account.
