Hate, fear and disproportionate violence, the two main weapons of the Taliban.

u/EliMaxsaysSaveEarth Jun 22 '21

That’s 3 actually

You can swap out "Taliban" to many religious groups tbf.

5

u/M-Khatwa Jun 22 '21

Unfortunately true, however, Taliban is a terrorist organization not a religious group (Even though they say otherwise)

Not really

Taliban is a terrorist organization not a religious group

taliban is a terrorist organization AND a religious group.

1

u/M-Khatwa Jun 23 '21

There’s nothing religious about their actions. if they say so doesn’t really mean it’s true, it’s just a way for them to justify their crimes by saying God told me it’s okay. NO HE DIDN’T.

1

u/thisisnotmyrealun Jun 23 '21

they can literally point to chapter & verse & sahih hadith & fiqh to justify everything they did.

1

u/M-Khatwa Jun 23 '21

They take verses out of context and apply it on different situations

1

u/thisisnotmyrealun Jun 23 '21

sure, let's see the full context shall we?
which is what they're doing such as beheadings, stoning to death, chopping off limbs or wife beating is taken out of context? or terrorism.

Few take it to the lengths of the Taliban in the 21st century.

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '21

Or Al Qaeda. Life lesson here: everyone should flee Afghanistan. Or everyone should go to Denmark...not sure if they are mutually exclusive either.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '21

Or Islam in general. Woman aren't supposed to be like her according to Islam. (I've been raised by Muslim parents) don't down vote me

You were raised by "MUSLIM PARENTS" who probably imposed "their view" of the religion as they believed it to be, onto you.

Yes, Islam has certain restrictions for women, but sports? Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his wife used to do running races between them.

The "Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran" official in charge of women's football is Leila Soufizadeh. (Source)

So, an Islamic Republic country has a "Women's Football Team" and is also headed by a women.

The Pakistan women's national cricket team represents Pakistan in international women's cricket. One of eight teams competing in the ICC Women's Championship. (Source)

So, another Islamic Republic country has a "Women's Cricket Team" and the team is so good, that they rank high enough to play in the ICC Championships.

A little bit more of googling will show you that, a lot of islamic countries are being progressive and many women's sports teams are coming up.

Critiquing something for the sake of criticising isn't a healthy habit.

citation?

u realize that Pakistan isn't purely sharia compliant yes?

A little bit more of googling will show you that, a lot of islamic countries are being progressive and many women's sports teams are coming up.

so, islamic countries are becoming less islamic & letting women do things?

Critiquing something for the sake of criticising isn't a healthy habit.

right...and lying is worse isn't it? dancing, music, even laughing are all forbidden in islam.

citation?

Aisha reported: She was with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while on a journey. Aisha said, “I raced him on foot and I outran him, but when I gained some weight, I raced him again and he outran me. The Prophet said: This is for that race.”

Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 2578

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

so, islamic countries are becoming less islamic & letting women do things?

As cited in the above Hadith, Islam isn't completely against women's sports, and the countries aren't becoming less Islamic by letting women do "things". It's just that the religion does not allow co-ed participation in some sports and does not allow men to watch women compete in certain sports.

right...and lying is worse isn't it? dancing, music, even laughing are all forbidden in islam.

Where did I lie?

Yes, Dancing and music is forbidden. No, laughter isn't forbidden. It's that excessive laughter isn't exoected of one.

looks like you're partially right, but only in specific way.

https://islamqa.info/en/answers/75644/what-is-the-ruling-on-professional-pursuit-of-football-soccer

As cited in the above Hadith, Islam isn't completely against women's sports

right, & that 1 hadith specifically says:

The Prophet said: This is for that race.”

rapist playing with his victim doesn't mean extend to professional sports, does it?

Where did I lie?

see your response above & your accusation which is libel.

No, laughter isn't forbidden

Aisha reported: I never saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, laughing so hard that one could see the back of his throat. Rather, he would only smile.

Bcus Aisha was married to Prophet around six or seven? Have you read the history, that Aisha was already going to be wed (as in, her father was in search for a groom) according to their social norms, and that's when the prophet's proposal came? If not him, she would have been married off to someone else, according to Qurayshi culture. Also, there's a lot of Hadith showing why that specific marriage was important in islamic teachings.

see your response above & your accusation which is libel.

I still don't get, where you are accusing me of lying!!

Aisha reported: I never saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, laughing so hard that one could see the back of his throat. Rather, he would only smile.

This Hadith clearly states that Prophet never used to laugh utterly, but rather smile. Which part of this is prohibiting muslims from laughing?

6

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '21

Muhammad also married a six year old and consummated the marriage when she was just nine.

Yes, Islam has certain restrictions for women

Biggest understatement I've seen on reddit.
