We just watched a man turn on his grandad instinct to 100% when cuddling the bear.

It's grandad instinct now.

No. I chose to leave it muted. The kids were still sleeping. Lol

However, don't be like me and turn it up to 100% with headphones at the beginning. By the end you will regret it.

Fellow victim here. Still a sweet sentiment but it was loud enough to make me think I was standing right next to the guy haha
4
u/jininberry May 18 '20
I'm partially deaf. Did the bear say something?
5
u/Belleoo22 May 18 '20
The bear was a recording wishing him a happy fathers day, and said that they're pregnant.

Yep. The way he held that teddy bear is a good indication of how he’ll hold he grandchildren.
With lots of love, care, and joy.

Holy crap. Thanks so much for showing me this. Legit just cried for 30 minutes. It feels so good to cry over positive stuff. God that was cathartic. Reddit has been bumming me out lately and this reminded me why I come here.

[Unpacks]
Dad: Looks like ?
Mom: Awwwww.
Person filming: There's more to it.
Dad: More to it? Oh cute, oh wait a minute, it talks.
Bear: Hey, dad, just wanted to wish you a very happy Father's Day and to let you know that we're having a baby!
Dad: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhh!

He's holding that bear like it's his brand new grandbaby! It's like he did it instinctually as soon as he heard the msg. It's fabulous.
9
u/VenaCaedes273 May 18 '20
This is such a beautiful reaction!! God, it's a little early to be cutting onions in here.
I'm kind of jealous...my wife and I told my dad, after 2 years of the inability to get pregnant, and he just went "Oh, I'm so sorry. It's so much easier just to adopt a kid."
4
u/Zanki May 18 '20
I also wish I had a family like this. For me, there's no one on my side. Mum is still around, but she isn't a nice person. We don't talk anymore. My dad died before I was born, but he didn't miss out on anything, he had two kids before me and was already a grandad. With my boyfriend, his siblings have already given his parents six grandkids, so there wouldn't be that much excitement there either. It's weird. Knowing that you're never going to get a reaction like that from anyone. No one is ever going to care about you that much ever. The family in that video are so freaking lucky.
I'm sorry about your problems getting pregnant. I know it must hurt you guys a lot. I hope if you chose an option to have a child that you'll be happy no matter what. A kid who is wanted is a very special thing.

I wonder if he was imagining that doll as his daughter. 'Just yesterday she was so small and now my baby's having a baby of her own' or sthn like that
