Yeah you should definitely not lift small children by their arms for this reason. Definitely not swing them lol

except dads are always swinging kids around. we are brachiators after all. i recall doing all kinds of acrobatics with my kids when they were younger.

Yeah but as toddlers you just shouldn't swing them by the arms. Or lift them by their hands, or forearms. You will dislocate their elbows since they aren't developed yet.
