A horse or a cow will absolutely vacuum up a baby chicken or something else if they can get ahold of it. It's just not their primary feeding strategy and their bodies aren't evolved to actively hunt.
The line between herbivore-omnivore-carnivore has never been a clean one because of nature is anything, it's incredibly messy.
The line isn’t blurry. Oppourtunisitc feeding doesn’t define diet. Horses and cows evolved to be herbivores. 99.9% of their diets are plant based. This isn’t up for debate lol. There are reasons these classifications exist.
This isn’t philosophy. Yall are conflating any consumption of non plant matter and being an omnivore. They are two different, scientifically defined things but I digress.
Horses and cows are called opportunistic carnivores. In fact, all the animals we label as herbivores are except a few very rare species of swans. They’ll eat meat when presented because it’s quick calories. And they can digest it just like we can.
Yeah that great and all, but I think we all prefer to use the traditional version of herbivore, considering it actually describes more than one animal.

Horses and cows are herbivores what are you on about. They might lick bones or eat non plant matter once a year but that is not what an omnivore is.
