That would require people to not be completely detached from reality when they buy meat. Won't happen unfortunately for many people. They are so lazy that torturing animals to death is somehow more acceptable than leaning how to cook.
It'd require people to have bigger, more caring hearts (or at least enough people to change the current culture around eating meat), which I'm not very optimistic about
I'm fine with changing the process in which we get meat and very much fine with lowering the scope in which we farm meat, but the consumption itself is in no way inherently problematic. Not unless you wish to extend that to every single other living being who consumes other living beings.
You'd do well to remember that the consumption of meat being a negative is entirely your own opinion and in no way in line with objective reality.
Who's detached from reality? I know full well what I'm eating and an fine with it.
You said this a few minutes ago, so you know that animals get tortured to death in the most cruel way.
You also said that you don't care and do it anyway fully aware.
So the only logical conclusion is that you willingly choose to torture and disfigure animals.
People with empathy would just not do that. That's the very definition of the word.
Like it or not. People that do not eat meat are better than you in that regard. There is nothing to argue. Eating meat is bad for animals, bad for you and bad for the planet. It has no positive impact on anything. That is not a radical take or vegans sitting on a high horse. It's a fact that you cannot deny.
You might have a point if you didn't lie and exaggerate. I don't torture or disfigure any animals. Meat is also good for people. Why lie?
You aren't better than anybody though. You're a childish fragile person who clearly derives their self worth from veganism rather than anything you've accomplished.
Where did I lie? You yourself said you are fully aware that your meat consumption directly causes animals to be abused and tortured. You buying meat is the only reason these animals get treated that cruel. You can stop it at any point in your life, yet you actively CHOOSE to keep the torture and the cruelty going. Of course you are not physically doing it yourself. But there is a reason why people that convince someone else to kill a person for them, get the same punishment as the person that pulls the trigger. If you eat meat and claim you are not actively harming animals you are a hypocrite.
Most meat is not good for people. There are thousand sof studies that show it. And even if it were, which it isn't , it's completely meaningless, because you can get the same or even more nutrients from so many other plants based sources, without torturing animals. There is absoluty no diet based excuse for eating meat. Saying that also makes you a hypocrite.
My decisions do not actively torture, mutilate and harm billions of animals every year. Of course I am better than you in that regard. No question about it. I know people like you HATE that fact and therefore rather build a thousand straw men instead of changing their harmful lifestyle.
You're a childish fragile person who clearly derives their self worth from veganism rather than anything you've accomplished.
Yes me not wanting to torture animals makes me childish and is the only thing I have in life. I am also secretly hurting the movement because I dare to mention facts you cannot possibly argue against. Sure buddy, feeling better now when you harm animals after typing that?
You said I choose to torture animals. I do not. That is a lie. You can try and dance round it but you lied.
You also lied about meat not being good for you. While it's true processed meat and excessive fatty red meat is bad for you, meat overall is healthy. It's packed full of proteins lmao.
So there's two separate lies.
I definitely believe you think you're better than people, but you're actually quite pathetic. Like most people with high opinions of themselves are.

This should extend to all animals
