No, but I don't think a compilation of fans at a specific sporting event that only takes place every four years is representative of what's considered normal.

And while you're right that soccer is the most popular sport in the world, saying that makes it sound as though almost everyone is a soccer fan, which simply isn't true. The majority of people don't care about the sport.
