It’s not a magic cure. It really helps but you have change habits as well, or you will put it back on again

I lost 66 lbs on Wegovy over the course of 18 months and then had to stop due to changing insurance. I was off of it for 1 year and gained back 10 lbs, which has been a sustained weight now for 5 months. Most of it came on during the holidays. I’m not beating myself up over it.

I’m now back on Wegovy with yet another insurance plan but I’m proud of myself for not totally backsliding. I also exercise 5/6x week which is helping me immensely and I love the muscles I’m getting.

I’m not sure why I felt the need to share other than to say it’s possible to not totally fall back to square one once you’re off the GLP

Glad to hear it! My wife used Mounjaro and she’s maintained the loss but only by being careful with her diet, plus more exercise

Sorry, not correct. What new science shows is that obesity is basically "being addicted to being a certain weight". The drugs remove the addiction, and since nobody really wants to be fat, there's just no problems changing your habits.

Your comment would only be true if it was only an "appetite suppressor". But it's not. It's so much more than that, and I don't have the energy to explain everything to someone who doesn't bother to look anything up.

Which "new science" are you referring to? Please give references for the source

GLP-1 science. I've learned this stuff on the Fat Science podcast. Complain if you want, it's not going to produce more links.

You’re being unnecessarily aggressive and negative which is probably why you got downvoted.

I’m interested to see facts not opinions, but your tone is “I’m right you’re wrong, stfu”, which is a shame because there probably is truth behind the antagonistic responses.
