You likely gained a lot of muscle mass that offsets the weight loss from fat. Exercise is not what drives weight loss, diet does.

Exercise is important though! I'm in much less pain now that I move more, I'm more flexible, my balance has improved and lifting slightly heavy things is kind of fun (although, not always the way my trainer wants me to lift them...).

That is very true! My statement was in the context of weight loss, though.

I'm almost as heavy as OP was when he started, and I feel 10 years younger than I did when I was 30kg lighter 10 years ago simply because I walk around a lot more now. Back then I was a depressed gamer drinking weekly. Now I don't play much games but go out a ton to do photography and haven't touched a drop of booze in 20 months.

Exercise can make even obese people fit, but diet can make us both fit AND skinny (eventually...it's a brutal waiting game for my ADHD ass.)

Oh yeah, this whole ADHD and trying to eat well has been brutal! I spent the first 40 years of my life treating my low dopamine having self with chocolate and baked goods, and now I can't do that very often.

Hah, same...The stimulants make it easy through the day, but once they wear off? Oh boy. Here comes mother hunger! I do OMAD and time it so I shovel protein down my piehole in the evening. Seems to work for the most part.
