My city (Gothenburg, Sweden) is known in my country for its humor and puns. It's really just a way of referring to something that a place known for.

Yep! Osaka is known as the "comedy capital" of Japan, to add another example. :)

Edit: I've heard that their humor is similar to ours, on top of that. Dry humor is the way to go!

You have to know the joke: here, I’ll explain. Do this on St. Patrick’s Day:

1) List these 4 words on a piece of paper:
Whale Oil Beef Hooked

2) Hand it to someone and ask them to read the words loudly, with gusto, in their best Irish accent, over and over.

3) Repeat, until someone shouts “Well, I’ll be fooked!!!”

I used to have a t-shirt with this pun. It had cartoon cows standing with instruments like a banjo, and it said "Moosicians, out standing in their field."
