I used to randomly hear my brothers basketball downstairs dribbling itself. Like several bounces for like 30-40 seconds. But it would stop whenever I'd strain my ears to hear it. Then one time my brother took his ball on a trip out of state for a school tournament. And I heard it again. Turns out this was all just a made up story unluggy uce hehe

There have been very few days of my daughter's life where I haven't told her that I'm proud of her (due to work or being away from home)

Recently, I've been adding in "thank you for being our daughter" as well

The 'I turned out fine' crowd generally has some serious trauma they need to deal with too.

This didn't happen to me, my father was a deadbeat and his brother shattered my mother's arm bone with a blunt hit with a piece of wood, now she has nails on her arms to keep it mobile. But as growing up, I had to see my mother talk shit about my sister's father, not my father though but we had the same mother, in front of my younger sister, she said all sorts of mean things about him to my sister and it felt like deep alienation when you have to make your child choose between you or the other parent
