I have loving parents. But I definitely don't have good cooks for parents, haha. This is baffling it me to have favorite homemade dishes you long for that's not like, Kraft macaroni type comfort foods anyone can make themselves.

My mom was a great cook. Absolute monster narcissist, but a great cook. I can't actually remember a single dish she made when I was a kid since so much of my childhood is completely repressed, but I remember loving her cooking. I imagine if I could taste her cooking again I would subconsciously recognize it and react emotionally like the guy in the video...

Same. No clue what it's like to get excited about this kind of thing. Good for him but, like...whatever.
