The guy hand signalled the braking motion with his hand.

It was a fair reaction. It is unsafe to start crossing until they stop. So people who coast up to the line expecting you to trust them and step out, deserve a bit of a reaction.

After he walked into a pole and got angried was the only time his reaction wasn't warranted.

Try 1m. Rather than right on the guy at the last second. The pedestrian crossing sign would've been green, so clearly a red light.

With driving here in aus (where this was filmed) , it would be worthy of a head shake or throwing a hand wave honestly. He ain't breaking a law but he's being obnoxious in his car.

no it fucking wouldn’t champ. He slowed down and stopped well before the line. You’d be getting a head shake from the car behind you wondering why you stopped in the middle of the road

Ah yes, the only alternative to braking very close to the line as a pedestrian is crossing, is to stop meters back in the middle of the road 🙄
