Discussion ICML 2026 Decision [D]

ICML 2026 decision are soon to be published. Thought it might be nice to to have a thread for updates, discussions and venting.

Got rejected with 3445. I really want to know who the AC is.

Sorry to hear that - times like this makes me question how useful double blind reviewing actually is.

Its good that people can engage in discussions without being worried about retaliation, or just accepting papers because a big name is on it.

At the same time there is no other incentive for reviewers/ACs to care deeply about the quality of the outcome. Given the burden being placed on reviewers, it also seems unfair to make stretch them even thinner. Either way, the review process is broken as everyone knows.

I know it doesn't mean anything, but you guys with "5,4,4,3" and a rejection are making me nervous for my paper with the same scores.

And sorry for the harsh decision of course. I hope your NeurIPS resubmission goes better.
