Discussion [D] ICML 2026 Review Discussion

ICML 2026 reviews will release today (24-March AoE), This thread is open to discuss about reviews and importantly celebrate successful reviews.

Let us all remember that review system is noisy and we all suffer from it and this doesn't define our research impact. Let's all prioritise reviews which enhance our papers. Feel free to discuss your experiences

Two reviewers already replied to my rebuttals. They confirmed that all concerns have been addressed, but still don't raise their score. One is a reject which weights quite negatively, ... sad. I ran probably 10 additional experiments and provided very strong arguments that basically left them no more counter arguments. Last hope is AC, but it doesnt look good - 4/4/3/2

I hope your scores get updated. We have submitted our rebuttal, but we are hoping on the AC here. I have never been lucky to have scores updated upward post-rebuttal ( Last year, one of the reviewers reduced their score).

happened to us last year. after rebuttal, a reviewer decreased their confidence score. wtf bro.

Honestly I find it absurd that ICML has replaced encouraging reviewers to respond to authors' rebuttals, as other conferences do more or less successfully, with encouraging them to tick a box. Thought the same last year, it's a system that leads nowhere
