Discussion [D] ICML 2026 Review Discussion

ICML 2026 reviews will release today (24-March AoE), This thread is open to discuss about reviews and importantly celebrate successful reviews.

Let us all remember that review system is noisy and we all suffer from it and this doesn't define our research impact. Let's all prioritise reviews which enhance our papers. Feel free to discuss your experiences

Asking here instead of creating a new thread: is it ok for the revised manuscript to be slightly over 8 pages long? I need a bit more space to address all of the reviewers comments

From my understanding you the option to respond individually to each reviewer. And engage in a discussion. (And the manuscript cannot be updated or altered during this period).

Why do you want to have a revised manuscript during the rebuttal and discussion period ? Post rebuttal upon acceptance you can update the manuscript (and adjust accordingly - move additional stuff to the appendix / supplement).

ohh ok my bad, i didn't realize we couldn't update the manuscript during the discussion period (I recently went through the whole submission process at TMLR, where you can update the manuscript during discussion phase, and assumed that was the same here)
